ROUNDUP: Damiano’s goal secures Desert Oasis’ first victory

Meagan Damiano scored with less than five minutes remaining, lifting Desert Oasis’ girls soccer team to its first victory in school history, 1-0 over visiting Western on Wednesday.

The Diamondbacks, in their first season, raised their record to 1-13-1.

Lhara Groberg made eight saves to earn the shutout.

Spring Valley 3, Clark 2 — At Clark, Rachel Worthen, Diza Parker and Peyton LeBlue scored to lead Spring Valley over the Chargers.

Azucena Bernal and Amanda Loveall scored for Clark.

Durango 1, Sierra Vista 0 — At Durango, Ashley Goelet scored in the second half to lift the Trailblazers.

Amanda Lopez assisted on Goelet’s goal and Skye Allen got the shutout.

Eldorado 1, Chaparral 0 — At Chaparral, Alexis Sama scored the lone goal in the first half as Eldorado nipped the Cowboys.

Katie Comeno made nine saves to earn the Sundevils’ shutout.

Las Vegas 2, Canyon Springs 0 — At Canyon Springs, Sarah Cook and Yesenia Gex scored as Las Vegas clinched second place in the Northeast League, beating the Pioneers.

Jaimie Nelson made 12 saves for the shutout.

Rancho 5, Desert Pines 0 — At Desert Pines, Cindy Hernandez and Lexa Green scored two goals apiece as the Rams blanked the Jaguars.

Rebecca Revo also scored for Rancho, and Fallyn Rollins and Sarah Arce combined on the shutout.
