Roundup: Emily Wickens’ free kick helps Coronado earn draw with Foothill

Coronado junior Emily Wickens converted a 35-yard free kick in the second half to help the Cougars’ girls soccer team earn a 1-1 draw with visiting Foothill on Thursday.

Brooke Vokoun scored an earlier second-half goal for Foothill.

Bishop Gorman 6, Sierra Vista 2 — At Sierra Vista, Gianna Gourley had two goals and an assist as the Gaels rolled past the Mountain Lions.

Kevyn Hillegas had a goal and an assist for the Gaels, and Kenzie Carr, Jaden Terrana and Samantha Nieves each scored.

Emma Ziegler and Adrienne Hallock scored for the Mountain Lions.

Boulder City 6, Chaparral 0 — At Boulder City, Jaydin Darling and Taylor Tenney each scored twice to power the Eagles over the Cowboys.

Trinitu Oeland had a goal and an assist for the Eagles, who scored five goals in the second half.

Boulder City’s Rebecca Smith scored, and Sydney Manns had two assists.

Virgin Valley 8, Del Sol 0 — At Mesquite, Rainee Brito and Kallie Graves each had three goals and two assists as the Bulldogs routed the Dragons.

Katie Zuniga and Ally Wright each scored for the Bulldogs, and Kari Wakefield had a pair of assists.

Alyson Cook and Nathalie Lagamayo split the shutout.
