ROUNDUP: Farano’s two goals propel Centennial girls past Gaels

Danielle Farano scored two goals in the second half Thursday to help Centennial’s girls soccer team upend visiting Bishop Gorman, 2-1.

Katie Turner scored for the Gaels.

Clark 4, Mojave 0 — At Clark, Maggie Mora scored three goals in the second half as the Chargers blanked the Rattlers.

Darian Gambetta also scored for Clark, and Stephanie Chavez chipped in with two assists.

Ashley Robinson made four saves to earn the shutout.

Desert Oasis 3, Bonanza 3 — At Bonanza, Megan Stanton had two goals and an assist to help the Diamondbacks earn a tie with the Bengals.

Chelsey Nedza also scored for Desert Oasis.

Kara Kwasniowski scored twice, and Ashley Alonzo-Bonilla had a goal and an assist for Bonanza.

Cheyenne 6, Western 0 — At Western, Mackenzie Smith had two goals and two assists to help the Desert Shields defeat the Warriors.

Amairani Gomez added two goals, Adrianna Basin had a goal and an assist, and Samantha Floyd scored once for Cheyenne.

Candy Bautista recorded the shutout for the Desert Shields, who scored five times in the second half.

Chaparral 6, Boulder City 4 — At Boulder City, Rosa Martinez scored five goals to lead the Cowboys past the Eagles.

Marcella Castillo added a goal, and Aliece Todd and Jessica Thornton each had two assists for Chaparral.

Jane Nevarez scored all four goals for Boulder City, which led 3-2 at the half. Jana Williams tallied two assists for the Eagles.

Cimarron-Memorial 7, Legacy 1 — At Legacy, Katie Restifo and Maxene Felhman each scored two goals to help the Spartans defeat the Longhorns.

Ryann Abeyta, Jazmin Centeno, and Ivy Frech each added a goal for Cimarron.

Moapa Valley 7, Sunrise Mountain 1 — At Overton, Makayla Jackson scored three goals to lead the Pirates over the Miners.

Teammates Marie Johansen scored twice, and Tylee Evans and Hanna Leavitt each scored once for Moapa Valley.

Virgin Valley 4, Desert Pines 0 — At Mesquite, Karson Bryant had two goals and two assists to lead the Bulldogs over the Jaguars.

Breanna Tilton and Jasmine Correa each added a goal for Virgin Valley.

Spencer Green had 11 saves to earn the shutou.

Pahrump Valley 11, Adelson School 0 — At Pahrump Valley, Kiaya Nuack and Winter Young combined on the shutout as the Trojans beat the Lions.

Sydney Sladek had two goals and three assists for Pahrump, and teammate Alexis Smith added two goals and two assists. 

Sarah Dennis and Courtney Lindsey each added two goals and an assist, Kristen Young scored two goals, and Ashlyn Diblasi scored once.
