ROUNDUP: Gomez’s goals give Desert Pines edge on Sunrise Mountain

Vanessa Gomez scored three goals in leading Desert Pines’ girls soccer team to a 4-2 win Thursday over visiting Sunrise Mountain.
Maydelin Pena also scored for the Jaguars, who rallied from a 1-0 halftime deficit.
Crystal Franco scored both goals for the Miners.
Coronado 0, Silverado 0 — At Silverado, the Cougars and Skyhawks battled to a scoreless tie.
Kaitlyn Fahrner earned the shutout for Coronado, and Katelyn Comeno was in goal for Silverado.
Eldorado 2, Valley 0 — At Eldorado, Teresa Barajas scored both goals as the Sundevils beat the Vikings.
Nias Olaiz made six saves in the shutout.
Liberty 4, Foothill 0 — At Liberty, Madison Chavez scored twice, and Paige Terlizzi had a goal and two assists to help the Patriots blank the Falcons.
Alexia Gonzalez added a goal and an assist for Liberty.
Goalkeeper Shelby Littlefield claimed the shutout.
Canyon Springs 7, Chaparral 0 — At Chaparral, Jazmine Eshleman had two goals and an assist to help the Pioneers rout the Cowboys.
Amber Rosenberg scored twice for Canyon Springs, and Diamond Miller, Ericka Pelaez and Jamila Pullum added a goal apiece. Miller and Alecs Cook each added two assists.
Haleigh Arnold posted a six-save shutout for the Pioneers.
Basic 8, Del Sol 0 — At Del Sol, Kierra Phelps tallied three goals and an assist as the Wolves dominated the Dragons.
Ashley Munson added two goals and two assists, and Liliana Lugo, Nikki Mullins and Tristan Radley each scored once for Basic.
Goalkeeper Lisvette Herrera had two saves in the shutout.
Green Valley 7, Tech 0 — At Green Valley, Cassidy McLean scored twice, and teammates Lauren Avecilla and Kayla Anderson each added a goal and an assist as the Gators routed the Roadrunners.
Alex Adams, Shannon Casey and Londyn Lopez scored a goal apiece for Green Valley, which got a shutout from goalkeeper Hailey Beekman.
Kayla Varner had two assists for the Gators.
