ROUNDUP: Grim nets go-ahead goal as Palo Verde girls nip Aggies

Serenity Grim’s goal with less than eight minutes to go Wednesday broke a 2-2 tie and lifted Palo Verde’s girls soccer team to a 3-2 home win over Arbor View.

Mackenzie Nogues scored on a direct kick with 13 minutes remaining to tie it at 2-2 for Palo Verde, which got a first-half goal from Grim.

Lexi Eply and Vanessa Lourenco each scored for Arbor View.

Rancho 3, Silverado 0 — At Rancho, Chanel Eliason scored twice in the first half, and Ashley Labarre added a second-half goal as the Rams blanked the Skyhawks.

Brenda Torres-Chavez had two assists, and goalkeeper Mackenzie Pearson notched the shutout for Rancho.

Las Vegas 2, Canyon Springs 1 — At Las Vegas, Alica Nunez scored the decisive goal in the second-half and notched an assist on Kara Bowden’s first-half goal as the Wildcats hung on against the Pioneers.

Sinderella Cortez-Vilchis scored for Canyon Springs.

Liberty 3, Eldorado 3 — At Eldorado, Madison Granger had a goal and an assist, and Vanessa Sanabria and Jacquie Avila each added a goal as the Sundevils stormed back from a 3-0 halftime deficit to tie the Patriots.

Hannah Pewtress had two assists for Eldorado.

April Ficarotta and Haylie McCollom each notched a goal and an assist, and Karla Monroy tallied a goal for Liberty.

Sierra Vista 5, Spring Valley 0 — At Spring Valley, Kaitlin Eure tallied three goals, and Sophia Omidiji added two goals to help the Mountain Lions down the Grizzlies.

Claudia Reyes dished out three assists for Sierra Vista.

Cypress Whipple made five saves en route to the shutout.

Green Valley 8, Valley 0 — At Green Valley, Kayla Anderson and Lauren Aronson each had two goals as the Gators routed the Vikings.

Faith Ezelle added a goal and two assists for Green Valley, which also got goals from Nicole Westover, Caitlyn Chamberlin and Lauren Avecilla.

Paulina Buskas and Jordyn Penniman each had two assists for the Gators, and teammate Kiyana Lopez registered the shutout.

Foothill 8, Del Sol 0 — At Foothill, Kailey Plumlee and Alyssa Gamboa scored twice, Myra Epino tallied a goal and two assists, and Jillian Vigil notched a goal and an assist as the Falcons routed the Dragons.

Taylor Arteaga and Charley Gibbs had a goal each, and Katherine Ballou and Hannah Habighorst each added two assists for Foothill.

Rachel Kole recorded the shutout for the Falcons.

Coronado 9, Basic 0 — At Coronado, Kelsey Stipek scored three goals, and Michaela Morris had two goals and two assists as the Cougars routed the Wolves.

Kasaundra Eason and Breanna McCallum each added a goal and an assist for Coronado. Madison Thompson and Chynna Zurflueh each scored once for the Cougars, and Stephanie Frank recorded two assists.

Cristina Burgess and Melanie Frank combined on the shutout.

Clark 2, Virgin Valley 0 — At Clark, Ariana Reyes scored once in each half to lead the Chargers over the Bulldogs.

Goalkeeper Ashley Robinson made four saves to get the shutout.

Shadow Ridge 4, Durango 0 — At Durango, Taylor Lopez and Gabby Gonzales each scored twice as the Mustangs topped the Trailblazers.

Kaila Hurley made three saves to earn the shutout.
