ROUNDUP: Hunt, Grizzlies hand Gaels first league loss in six years

Alexa Hunt’s deflected shot off a Bishop Gorman defender with less than 10 minutes remaining in the first half Friday broke a 1-1 tie and gave Spring Valley’s girls soccer team a 2-1 home win over the Gaels, snapping Gorman’s 27-match Southwest League winning streak.
The Gaels hadn’t lost a league match since the 2005-06 season, going 67-0-2 in league play from the start of the 2006-07 season until Friday.
Alyssa Gomez added a goal for Spring Valley.
Haley Wingender tallied Gorman’s goal.
Shadow Ridge 1, Arbor View 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Meghan Cordero’s goal in the 63rd minute allowed the Mustangs to stun the Aggies.
Dallas Gunny made eight saves to earn the shutout for Shadow Ridge.
Centennial 2, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Centennial, Sienna Drizin and Sierra Munoz each scored a first-half goal to lead the Bulldogs past the Spartans.
Hanah Holt supplied two assists for Centennial.
Natalie Gilbertson was in goal for the shutout.
Desert Oasis 1, Sierra Vista 1 — At Sierra Vista, Kylee Beauford’s goal with 12 minutes remaining lifted the Diamondbacks into a tie with the Mountain Lions.
Kayla Locascio scored for Sierra Vista.
Clark 2, Durango 1 — At Durango, Azucena Bernal scored on a penalty kick in the first half, then broke a 1-1 tie by cashing in on a breakaway with 15 minutes left in the match to lift the Chargers past the Trailblazers.
Austin Martines scored for Durango.
Bonanza 5, Western 1 — At Western, Kara Kwasniowski tallied three goals as the Bengals scored four second-half goals to pull away from the Warriors.
Cassandra Zeder and Megan Cousineau each added a goal for Bonanza.
Larrisa Herrera’s goal in the second minute gave Western a 1-0 lead.
Cheyenne 6, Mojave 0 — At Cheyenne, Adrianna Basin scored two of her three goals in the first seven minutes to lead the Desert Shields to an easy win over the Rattlers.
Deborah Chinchilla, Samantha Floyd and Mackenzie Smith added goals for Cheyenne, which led 5-0 at halftime.
Clara Zamora earned the shutout for the Desert Shields.
Palo Verde 10, Legacy 0 — At Palo Verde, Sila Tuiofea had six goals and an assist to help the Panthers rout the Longhorns.
Autumn Alderson, Victoria DeWitt, Jordan Fleming and Lana Laudermilch also scored goals for Palo Verde, which led 5-0 at halftime.
Stacie Gubler earned the shutout for the Panthers.
