ROUNDUP: Hutchins, Diamondbacks edge closer to playoff berth

Lynsey Hutchins had a goal and an assist Friday as Desert Oasis’ girls soccer team moved within one point of clinching its first postseason berth with a 2-0 win at Durango.
Kylee Beauford also scored for the Diamondbacks, who trail Sierra Vista by two points for third place in the Southwest League, but have a six-point lead over Clark for the final playoff spot with two matches left.
Kayla Saucedo made three saves en route to the shutout.
Bonanza 3, Clark 0 — At Clark, Kara Kwasniowski tallied two goals to lead the Bengals by the Chargers.
Cassandra Zeder also scored for Bonanza.
Sami Haeick was in goal for the shutout.
Spring Valley 4, Sierra Vista 2 — At Sierra Vista, Bailey Boyack broke a 2-2 tie with seven minutes left, and Anay Barajas added an insurance goal to lift the Grizzlies past the Mountain Lions.
Markie Henderson had a goal and an assist, and Samantha Boeddeker also scored for Spring Valley, which got two assists from Nattaly Aleman.
Sophia Omidiji netted both of Sierra Vista’s goals.
Bishop Gorman 9, Western 0 — At Gorman, Haley Wingender had two goals and an assist, and Mia Moore and Charlotte Brascia each scored twice as the Gaels routed the Warriors.
Ari Cabrera added a goal and an assist, and Brielle Crovetti and Malika Markham each had a goal for Gorman, which did all of its scoring in the first half.
Isabella Sorretino and Sierra Doehrmann supplied two assists apiece for the Gaels.
Sam Higgins was in goal for the shutout.
Shadow Ridge 4, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Cimarron, Meghan Cordero notched two goals and an assist to help the Mustangs top the Spartans.
Sarah Pena scored twice for Shadow Ridge, and Mackenzie Espiritu added two assists.
Dallas Gunny made seven saves to earn the shutout.
Palo Verde 8, Cheyenne 0 — At Palo Verde, Sila Tuiofea scored six goals to help the Panthers roll past the Desert Shields.
Christene Whitaker and Brianna Stutz each added a goal for Palo Verde, and teammate Stacie Gubler logged three saves to earn the shutout.
Centennial 7, Mojave 0 — At Centennial, McKenzie Hanson had a goal and an assist as the Bulldogs blanked the Rattlers.
Hannah Holt, Danielle Farano, Paris Gonzalez, Sienna Drizin, Danielle Leeds and Sam McLaughlin each added a goal for Centennial, which got two assists from Dominique Romero.
Natalie Gilbertson and Talia Barnes combined on the shutout.
Arbor View 9, Legacy 0 — At Arbor View, Falon Milller had two goals and an assist, and Tara LeBaron scored twice as the Aggies blitzed the Longhorns.
Jordan Arnold had a goal and two assists for Arbor View, which also got goals from Amberly Halstead, Haley Vicente, Brooklyn Davis and Kyla Salazar.
Salazar and Hayley Fife combined on the shutout.
