Roundup: Michaela Budnick’s goal lifts Sierra Vista over Silverado

Michaela Budnick scored with 12 minutes to play to lift Sierra Vista’s girls soccer team to a 2-1 home victory over Silverado on Monday.

Emma Zeigler had tied the game earlier in the half for Mountain Lions.

Jemalyn Dacanay scored for Skyhawks.

Bishop Gorman 5, Coronado 0 — At Gorman, Gianna Gourley scored twice as the Gaels rolled past the Cougars.

Alexa Fehlman added a goal and an assist for Gorman, which scored four second-half goals. Taylor Cox and Samantha Nieces each had a goal, and Teresa Richardson had two assists for the Gaels.

Goalkeeper Kirsten Kircher made two saves to get the shutout.

Las Vegas 3, Clark 2 — At Las Vegas, Leslie Garcia scored with about 10 minutes left to break a 2-2 tie and lift the Wildcats over the Chargers.

Brinkley McCoy had a goal and an assist, and Atziri Avila also scored for Las Vegas, which trailed 2-1 at the half.

Luz Juarez-Mera had both goals for Clark.

Sunrise Mountain 4, Rancho 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Alexandra Trinidad had two goals and an assist to lead the Miners over the Rams.

Yovana Alvidrez added a goal and an assist, and Irlanda Osuna-Arcineda scored once.

Macy Stevens and Christina Lark combined on the shutout.

Western 3, Canyon Springs 1 — At Canyon Springs, Kayla Tapanes scored twice as the Warriors defeated the Pioneers.

Heyddy Paiz-Portillo scored on a penalty kick for Western.

Mallory Arnold scored for Canyon Springs.

Virgin Valley 5, Eldorado 1 — At Mesquite, freshman Rainee Brito scored four goals to lead the Bulldogs past the Sundevils.

Kari Wakefield also scored a goal for the Bulldogs. Kallie Graves had two assists for Virgin Valley.

Angelica Lamas scored Eldorado’s goal off an assist from Nicole Pena.

Moapa Valley 8, Mojave 0 — At Moajve, Christie Eriksen scored three goals as the Pirates routed the Rattlers.

Jessica Leon added two goals, and Baily Bunker, Natalie Mills and Peyton Schraft each scored once.

Cimarron-Memorial 8, Chaparral 0 — At Cimarron, Justice Rodriguez had three goals and an assist, and Samantha Silva added three goals to lead the Spartans past the Cowboys.

Ashlee Hackett had two goals, and Kaylee Nerio had two assists for Cimarron, which led 4-0 at halftime.

Jade Jimenez recorded the shutout.

Legacy 8, Bonanza 0 — At Bonanza, Gabriella Lancaster scored five goals as the Longhorns routed the Bengals.

Isabella Skinjaric added two goals and an assist, and Kennedy Williams had a goal and an assist for legacy.

Angelica Gutierrez had two goals, and Gianna Urqiedez and Jasmine Pizano each had an assist.

Reina Pizano had two saves to record the shutout.

Tech 8, Desert Pines 0 — At Tech, Adriana Carillo had three goals as the Roadrunners rolled past the Jagaurs.

Tech’s Joleen Alvarado, Hannah Fletcher, Alysia Mestas, Analysa Zepeda, and Valerie Webb each scored once. Alvarado also added two assists.

Pahrump Valley 8, Somerset-Sky Pointe 0 — At Pahrump, Kaitlynn Carrington and Sydney Dennis each had two goals and an assist as the Trojans defeated the Eagles.

Makayla Gent and Grace Gundacker each scored a goal, and Vaniah Vitto added a goal and an assist for Pahrump Valley. Kathy Niles also had a goal and two assists for the Trojans, who got a combined shutout from goalkeepers Alyvia Briscoe and Halie Souza.

Eagles’ Goalkeeper Shayna Thompson had 16 saves.

Del Sol 4, Valley 1 — At Valley, the Dragons scored three-first half goals en route to the victory over the Vikings.

Georgia Gardner scored for Valley.
