ROUNDUP: Muhammad’s late goal lifts Rancho past Eldorado

Jahmela Muhammad sliced through three defenders and scored the lone goal of the match with seven minutes remaining Wednesday as Rancho’s girls soccer team downed host Eldorado, 1-0.

Rachael Wiltshire made six saves to earn the shutout for the Rams.

Valley 3, Las Vegas 1 — At Las Vegas, Isa Almayda-Leyva scored two of the Vikings’ three second-half goals as Valley overcame a 1-0 halftime deficit and defeated the Wildcats.

Eleza Michaels also scored for the Vikings.

Danica Pickett scored for Las Vegas.

Chaparral 2, Desert Pines 1 — At Desert Pines, Breanna Gianopoulos and Chase Marchello scored in the first half to lift Chaparral past the Jaguars.

Vanessa Gomez scored for Desert Pines.

Clark 5, Desert Oasis 0 — At Clark, Azucena Bernal had four goals and an assist as the Chargers blanked the Diamondbacks.

Eridany Flores also scored for Clark. Ashley Fullmer made four saves for the Chargers.

Durango 2, Spring Valley 1 — At Durango, Jamie Dean scored two minutes into the game and her sister Josie scored with 10 minutes left to help the Trailblazers edge the Grizzlies.

Biza Parker scored Spring Valley’s goal.

Bishop Gorman 9, Western 0 — At Western, Mariah Hobbs had two goals and three assists as the Gaels routed the Warriors.

Gorman’s Hayley Wingender and Megan Wasiak each scored two goals, and Alex Holland, Courtney Beckwith and Ashley Thomson also scored.

Kaylie Vitale made two saves to record the shutout.
