ROUNDUP: Odell, Uribe lead Miners to first win in program history

Jessell Odell and April Uribe each scored two goals Thursday to give Sunrise Mountain’s girls soccer team its first win the program’s brief history, downing visiting Mojave, 4-2.
The Miners took a 3-1 lead at the half and held off the Rattlers.
Olivia Hicks scored both goals for Mojave.
Green Valley 3, Palo Verde 3 — At Green Valley, Asli Kupaglu scored on a free kick from 20 yards out on the right side with three minutes remaining in the match as the Gators rallied from a 3-1 deficit in the final 20 minutes to force a tie with Palo Verde.
Cayla Imahara’s penalty-kick goal pulled Green Valley within 3-2 before Kupaglu tied it.
Imahara finished with two goals. Kupaglu had a goal and an assist.
Shane Scheier, Sammi Sawicki and Christene Whitaker each scored a goal for Palo Verde. Lauren Kaskie had two assists for the Panthers.
Rancho 7, Clark 0 — At Clark, Jahmela Muhammad and Cindy Hernandez each scored two goals to help the Rams kick off their season with a rout of Clark.
Alyssa Williams, Jenna Lewis and Lucinda Luevanos also scored for Rancho.
Rachael Wiltshire recorded a shutout.
