ROUNDUP: Pahrump’s Sladek scores four goals, sets state mark in win over Western girls

Syndey Sladek scored four times Monday to surpass the state single-season girls soccer goal mark as Pahrump Valley posted a 14-0 win at Western.

Sladek has 67 goals in 17 matches this season. The Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association lists the state record as 65, set by Truckee’s Becca Shook in 1999.

Sladek also had two assists. Kristen Young had four goals, and Gabrielle Vasquez added three goals and two assists for the Trojans, who secured the Division I-A Sunset League regular-season title.

Rosa Ortega had a goal and an assist, and Karissa Diblasi and Courtney Lindsey also scored for Pahrump.

Kiaya Nuack made one save to register the shutout.

Centennial 3, Bishop Gorman 2 —
At Gorman, Danielle Farano, Cienna Mendez and Shelby Riddle each scored a goal as the Bulldogs built a 3-0 lead and held off the Gaels to clinch the Southwest League title.

Paris Gonzales had two assists for Centennial.

Desert Oasis 3, Bonanza 2 — At Desert Oasis, Megan Stanton scored with less than three minutes to play to break a 2-2 tie and give the Diamondbacks a 3-2 win over the Bengals.

Stanton scored a pair of second-half goals for Desert Oasis. Lynsey Hutchins scored in the first half for the Diamondbacks.

Bonanza’s Ashley Alonzo-Bonilla had a goal and an assist, and Kara Kwasniowski scored a goal for the Bengals.

Chaparral 4, Sunrise Mountain 1 —
At Sunrise Mountain, Aliece Todd, Yazmin Castillo, Jessica Thornton and Lisa Resken each had a goal to lift the Cowboys past the Miners.

Crystal Gonzalez scored Sunrise Mountain’s goal.

Faith Lutheran 5, Clark 1 — At Faith Lutheran, Charlotte Vancura scored twice to help the Crusaders pull away from the Chargers.

Kendall Pori and Emily Neigbors each had a goal and an assist, and Arianna Weide also scored for Faith Lutheran.

Maggie Mora scored Clark’s goal.

Boulder City 3, Moapa Valley 0 — At Overton, Jane Nevarez had two goals and an assist to lead the Eagles over the Pirates.

Nicole Benson scored on a header early in the second half to break a scoreless tie.

Ali Ravacchi made six saves to earn the shutout for Boulder City.

Tech 5, Virgin Valley 0 — At Tech, Susan Melian scored twice, and Alex Guzman had a goal and four assists to lead the Roadrunners over the Bulldogs.

Carla Valle had a goal and an assist, and Abrana Wielgosiak scored for Tech.

Elena Duenas registered the shutout.

Cheyenne 8, Adelson School 0 — At Cheyenne, Mackenzie Smith scored three goals, and Adriana Basin added a goal and two assists to lead the Desert Shields by the Lions.

Dayana Arellano, Amaraini Gomez, Priscilla Hernandez and Elena Zapata each had a goal for Cheyenne.

Clara Zamora was in goal for the shutout.

Cimarron-Memorial 11, Legacy 1 — At Cimarron, Jazmin Centeno scored three goals, and Ryann Abeyta added two goals and three assists as the Spartans routed the Longhorns.

Maxene Fehlman had two goals and an assist, and Tessa Sanchez supplied a goal and two assists for Cimarron. Alejandra Garcia and Natasha Martin each had a goal and an assist, and Kaycee Luke also scored for the Spartans.

Rayann Gonzales notched Legacy’s goal.
