ROUNDUP: Phelps’ five goals lead Basic past Liberty

Kierra Phelps scored five goals Thursday to lead Basic’s girls soccer team to a 6-1 win at Liberty.
Brianna Downey also scored for the Wolves, while Ashley Munson tallied three assists.
Kim Desario scored the Patriots’ only goal.
Rancho 9, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Jahmela Muhammad scored three of her six goals in the first half, as the visting Rams blanked the Miners.
Cindy Hernandez, Fallyn Rollins and Stephanie Apodaca each added a goal for Rancho, which got two assists apiece from Megan Aoyama and Wendy Soriano.
Rachel Wiltshire earned the shutout for the Rams.
Silverado 6, Del Sol 0 — At Silverado, Rachel Cooklin scored two goals to help the Skyhawks rout Del Sol.
Karla Navarrete, Alexa Garcia, Ashley Federwisch and Taylor Richard each had a goal for Silverado.
Samantha Lewis made two saves to earn the shutout.
Tech 2, Foothill 0 — At Tech, Rachael Montoya had a goal and an assist in the Roadrunners’ win over Foothill.
Dianna Payan also scored for Tech.
Makala Lemley made two saves to register a shutout.
Eldorado 2, Canyon Springs 1 — At Canyon Springs, Maria Bonsignore and Alexis Sama scored a goal apiece as Eldorado edged the Pioneers.
Diamond Miller scored for Canyon Springs.
 
Las Vegas 4, Chaparral 0 — At Chaparral, the visiting Wildcats built a 3-0 halftime lead and cruised past the Cowboys.
Consuelo Cabrera, Sarah Cook, Danica Pickett and Andrea Vidales each scored for Las Vegas.
Alejandra Luna made two saves to earn the shutout.
Valley 3, Desert Pines 1 — At Valley, Mandy Lopez, Ciara Alfazak and Morgan Baker each scored a goal in the second half to lead the Vikings past the Jaguars.
Jenny Martinez scored for Desert Pines.
