ROUNDUP: Philpot fills net as Foothill tops Chaparral
Elizabeth Philpot scored 15 minutes before the final whistle Wednesday to lift visiting Foothill’s girls soccer team to a 1-0 win over Chaparral.
Chelsea Robinson assisted on the goal.
Kim Callen recorded the shutout for the Falcons.
Tech 3, Canyon Springs 2 — At Canyon Springs, Maci Fix’s goal with four minutes remaining allowed Tech to edge past the Pioneers.
Rachael Montoya scored twice for the Roadrunners, who trailed 2-0 at halftime.
Amber Rosenberg scored both goals for the Pioneers.
Liberty 7, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Jumana Massis scored three goals, and Minerva Massis added a goal and three assists as Liberty routed the Miners.
Sam Desario, Codi Myers and Alexia Gonzalez also scored for Liberty. Paige Terlizzi added two assists for the Patriots.
Amanda Saade made one save to register the shutout.
Del Sol 5, Desert Pines 1 — At Desert Pines, Sonora Lankert’s three goals helped Del Sol top the Jaguars.
Amanda Gordon and Lizeth Arias also scored for the Dragons.
Vanessa Gomez tallied Desert Pines’ lone goal.
Cimarron-Memorial 2, Bonanza 1 — At Cimarron, Brook Donofrio and Tessa Sanchez each scored a goal as the Spartans edged the Bengals.
