ROUNDUP: Sierra Vista solidifies hold on second in Southwest

Darien Walker had a goal and two assists Friday as Sierra Vista’s girls soccer team solidified its hold on second place in the Southwest League with a 3-1 win at Spring Valley.

The Mountain Lions are six points behind league-leading Bishop Gorman and remained five points ahead of Durango, a 5-0 winner at Desert Oasis.

Christen Parr and Katrine Baker also scored for Sierra Vista.

Diza Parker scored Spring Valley’s goal.

Durango 5, Desert Oasis 0 — At Desert Oasis, Janie Bordinhao scored three goals to lift the Trailblazers past the Diamondbacks.

Alexa Catalfamo and Mikayla Alderman also scored for Durango. Skye Allen was in goal for the shutout.

Bonanza 3, Clark 2 — At Bonanza, Brittany Tucker had a goal and an assist as the Bengals built a 3-1 lead in the second half and held off the Chargers.

Bree Hammel and Rebecca Sequiera also scored for Bonanza.

Kelsey Rastello and Xochitl Garcia scored for Clark.
