SOCCER: Garcia-Reyes powers Cimarron boys to win over Sierra Vista

Gustavo Garcia-Reyes had two goals and an assist to help Cimarron-Memorial's boys soccer team hold on for a 3-2 win over visiting Sierra Vista in the Southern Nevada Kick-Off Classic.

Ernan Hernandez added a goal and an assist for the Spartans, who took a 3-1 lead with 10 minutes to go before the Mountain Lions closed to within a goal with seven minutes left.

Kebba Jobe scored both goals for Sierra Vista.

Tech 2, Foothill 1 — At Cimarron, Joel Velazquez had a goal and an assist as the Roadrunners built a 2-1 first-half lead and held on for a 2-1 win over the Falcons in the Southern Nevada Kick-Off.

Angel Nunez also scored for Tech.

Trent Milne scored for the Falcons.

Chaparral 0, Legacy 0 — At Cimarron, Chaparral goalkeeper Juan Romero was credited with four saves as the Cowboys and Longhorns finished scoreless in the Southern Nevada Kick-Off Classic.

Juan Oprineda earned the shutout for Legacy.

Clark 2, Arbor View 1 — At Green Valley, Enrique Villareeal and Eduardo Martinez each scored once as the Chargers nipped the Aggies in the Southern Nevada Kick-off Classic.

Christian Limon scored with three minutes left in the match for Arbor View.

Las Vegas 2, Coronado 1 — At Green Valley, Jesus Hernandez and Elias Torres each scored a goal to lift the Wildcats by the Cougars in the Southern Nevada Kick-Off Classic.

Randy Casas had two assists for Las Vegas.

Nico Glass scored for Coronado.

Western 3, Durango 0 — At Green Valley, Angel Gutierrez-Montes had two goals as the Warriors blanked the Trailblazers at the Southern Nevada Kick-Off Classic.

Federico Romano scored off an assist from Ricardo Gonzalez for Western's other goal.

Nathaniel Reyes added an assist for the Warriors, who led 2-0 at halftime.

Western's Jose Anaya recorded the shutout.

Palo Verde 4, Cheyenne 0 — At Cimarron, Jaden Key had a goal and an assist, and Anthony Kaskie had two assists to help the Panthers blank the Desert Shields in the Southern Nevada Kick-Off Classic.

Presten Manthey, Max Hulet and Henry Roblado also scored for Palo Verde.

Nishesh Yadav (three saves) and Levi Lord (one save) combined on the shutout for the Panthers.

Green Valley 5, Liberty 0 — At Green Valley, Maliq Cooper had two goals and two assists as the Gators downed the Patriots in the Southern Nevada Kick-Off Classic.

Antonio Trama added two goals and an assist, and Connor Malone had a goal and an assist for Green Valley.

Salvatore Hicks made two saves to earn the shutout for the Gators.

Del Sol 11, Basic 0 — At Del Sol, Daniel Barajas had three goals, and Sergio Calderon added two goals and two assists to lead the Dragons in a rout of the Wolves.

Diego Nieves had two goals and an assist, and Erik Cerrano added a goal and three assists for Del Sol. Kevin Hernandez, Zach Harter and Diego Flores each added a goal for the Dragons.

Edgar Gazal and Jesus Gallardo combined on the shutout.

GIRLS

Basic 3, Sunrise Mountain 1 — At Basic, Darby Cox scored twice to lift the Wolves by the Miners.

Alexandria Kelly added a goal, and Sydnie Hopkins had two assists for Basic.

Brisa Pena-Martinez scored for Sunrise Mountain.

Legacy 6, Mojave 0 — At Legacy, Gabriela Lancaster and Isabella Skrinjaric each had three goals and an assist as the Longhorns routed the Rattlers.

Jessica Ramirez made five saves to earn the shutout for Legacy.
