GOLF: Pate, Gaels top Crusaders

Hunter Pate carded a 2-under-par 34 at Highland Falls on Thursday to help Bishop Gorman's girls golf team to a 150-157 win over Faith Lutheran.

Sarah James added a 38, and Danielle Oberlander and Megan Orgad each shot 39 for the Gaels.

Faith Lutheran's Morgan Goldstein shot 35, and Cameron Griffin added a 39 for the Crusaders.

Coronado tops Green Valley

At Legacy, Sami Penor carded a 1-over 37 to lead the Cougars to a 154-204 win over the Gators.

Gabby DeNunzio added a 38, Ashley Lung shot 39, and Victoria Estrada and Crystle Querol each shot 40 for Coronado.

Kat Kares led Green Valley with a 41.

Haczkiewicz leads Panthers to win

At Badlands, Annick Haczkiewicz shot 2-over 38 to lead Palo Verde to victory over Shadow Ridge.

Taylor Fryar added a 42, and Jasmine Jung and Mikenna Klinger each shot 43 for the Panthers, who had a team score of 166. Shadow Ridge did not field a full team.
