BOWLING: Belcher, Centennial girls roll into Sunset final

Allison Belcher rolled a 703 series at The Orleans on Monday to help Centennial’s girls bowling team to a 9-0 win over Palo Verde in a Sunset Region semifinal.
Belcher rolled games of 269, 234 and 200 in her series and helped the Bulldogs to 2,175 total pints, the day’s highest total pin count in the girls tournament.
Centennial will meet Shadow Ridge, a 7-2 winner over Bishop Gorman, in Tuesday’s region final.
In the Sunrise Region, Silverado and Liberty will meet in the region final after both teams recorded a 9-0 win on Monday.
Silverado routed Coronado, and Liberty downed Foothill.
Tech and Boulder City advanced to the Division I-A state championship. Tech was a 9-0 winner over Sierra Vista. Boulder City had just 11 more total pins than Del Sol to pull out a 5-4 win.
BOYS
Coronado rolled the high team series Monday, racking up 2,511 pins en route to a 7-2 win over Liberty in a Sunrise semifinal.
The Cougars will face Green Valley, a 6-3 winner over Las Vegas in the other semifinal, in Tuesday’s region final.
Arbor View and Palo Verde both rolled to victories in the Sunset semifinals.
Arbor View was a 9-0 winner over Shadow Ridge, and Palo Verde swept Bishop Gorman, 9-0.
In Division I-A, Boulder City and Chaparral will meet for the state title after both squads won semifinals matches by 9-0 scores Monday.
The Eagles swept Del Sol. Chaparral downed Sierra Vista.
