Shelbi Denman spun a one-hit shutout and stuck out eight as Shadow Ridge’s softball team blanked Bingham (Utah) 13-0 in four innings in the Tournament of Champions at Bullhead City, Arizona.
Spring Valley starting pitcher Nick Rupp and reliever Jaxson Otis combined on a no-hitter, as the Grizzlies’ baseball team blanked host Boulder City on Thursday, 6-0.
The Cougars bring back seven starters and are primed for a successful season.
The Cougars have nine seniors and hope to contend for the Sunrise League title.
