Durango boys earn final tennis postseason spot

Filip Bosnajak fought off two set points to win a tiebreaker, 7-6 (9) in the second round Saturday and help Durango's boys tennis team earn the final spot in the Sunset Region playoffs with a 10-8 victory at Legacy in a Southwest League play-in match.

Niko Zelenovic was 3-0 in singles, and Marc Viernes and Gabe Villanueva went 3-0 in doubles for the Trailblazers. Jovan Lubara was 2-1 in singles for Durango, which will visit Centennial in a region quarterfinal at 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Willie Valdez was 2-1 in singles, and Devin Garrett and Diego Portillo went 2-1 in doubles for the Longhorns.
