Sam Pochop threw a no-hitter with eight strikeouts Saturday to lead the Rancho softball team to an 8-0 win over Taft (Calif.) at the Washington Union Invitational in Fresno, California.
Matthew Vanderberg doubled home Kaui Kaleopaa in the top of the eighth inning Friday to lift the Sierra Vista baseball team to a 6-5 road win over Bonanza in eight innings.
Alexis Geraldo went 4-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs to lead Durango’s softball team to a 15-0 four-inning victory over host Spring Valley on Friday.
Lasith Narasinghe went 3-for-3 with a home run, two runs and three RBIs as Cimarron-Memorial’s baseball team scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to break a 4-4 tie and defeat visiting Shadow Ridge, 8-4 on Tuesday.
Jillian James spun a two-hit shutout while striking out 10 Friday to lead the Coronado softball team by Centennial, 9-0 in the Tournament of Champions at Bullhead City, Arizona.
