BOWLING: Peacha, Foothill girls sweep Vikings in Sunrise tourney opener

Morgan Peacha rolled a 637 series at The Orleans on Thursday to lead Foothill’s girls bowling team to a 9-0 win over Valley in the opening round of the Sunrise Region tournament.

Peacha and Silverado’s Marisa Escondon each rolled the high game of 245 in Division I on Thursday.

Silverado was a 9-0 winner over Green Valley.

Liberty swept Eldorado, 9-0; and Coronado downed Las Vegas, 7-2.

In the Sunset Region tournament, Centennial rolled to a 9-0 win over Legacy.

Palo Verde swept Bonanza, 9-0, and Shadow Ridge swept Desert Oasis, 9-0. Bishop Gorman downed Arbor View, 7-2.

In the Division I-A state tournament, Tech had the team high game of 1,871 en route to a 9-0 win over Western.

Sierra Vista swept Sunrise Mountain, 9-0. Boulder City downed The Meadows, 7-2, and Del Sol edged Clark, 5-4.
