Spring Valley’s Michaela Hood fired a five-inning perfect game on Monday as the Grizzlies routed Bonanza, 20-0.
Alex Gomez doubled home Carter Lambeth with the go-ahead run in the top of the ninth inning, and Spring Valley’s baseball team tacked on two more runs in a 9-6 road win over Bonanza on Monday.
Cole Wilson had 36 assists and nine digs to lead Palo Verde’s boys volleyball team to a 25-14, 25-15, 17-25, 26-24 victory over visiting Legacy on Friday.
Preston Pavlica left the field early Thursday with an injured quadriceps. But the Liberty senior did plenty of damage while he was in the game. Pavlica was 2-for-2 with a two-run homer and two runs, and the Patriots held on for a 4-3 win at Silverado.
Makena Martin recorded a strikeout with the potential tying and winning runs in scoring position and two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning Thursday as Faith Lutheran’s softball team held on for a 7-6 win at Pahrump Valley.
Chase Wood and Mark Rubalcaba each won two individual events Wednesday to help Faith Lutheran’s boys track team win a four-team meet in Overton.
Eimainei Thomas-Palmer won the triple jump and high jump Wednesday to lead Valley’s girls track team to a 70-61 victory over visiting Las Vegas.
