Sunrise Mountain
Las Vegas edged Durango 10-7 on Friday to win the Class 4A Mountain League title and clinch a first-round bye in the playoffs.
Two high school games were canceled Friday — league games between Arbor View and Foothill and Chaparral and Sunrise Mountain — that could affect playoff chances and seeding.
This is the third game that has been canceled for Foothill and the first for Arbor View. The game probably would have decided second place in the Class 5A Desert League.
Desert Pines will host Mojave at 7 p.m. Friday in the first installment of the Air Space Showdown.
The Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association has awarded $20,000 in scholarships to its top 10 student-athletes of the year for the class of 2021.
