Tatum Spangler hit a grand slam and pitched a complete game to power the Coronado softball team to an 8-4 road victory over Foothill.
Taylor Okamura singled home Erica Hardy with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning Friday, as Coronado’s softball team edged visiting Rancho 2-1 to remain undefeated in the Class 4A Sunrise League.
After leading 11-0 in the fourth inning, Foothill’s softball team allowed Silverado to climb back into the game before using a big seventh inning to clinch a 20-9 win on the road.
Derek Decolati scattered three hits over five innings, and host Cimarron-Memorial pulled away late for a 9-1 victory over Silverado in a nonleague game.
Ariel Wilson went 2-for-3 with a triple and allowed three runs over five innings to lift Mojave’s softball team to a 6-4 home victory over Legacy.
No. 3 Shadow Ridge made two key fielding plays and feasted on four errors to defeat the fourth-ranked Centennial 6-2 on Wednesday.
Haylee Makue-Vasconcello’s two-out single in the bottom of the eighth inning drove in Katy Orellana from second base with the winning run to lift Tech’s softball team to a 4-3 home win over Chaparral on Wednesday.
