ROUNDUP: Ames’ bat, arm help Aggies storm past Panthers

Ashlyn Ames went 3-for-3 with a home run, three runs scored and two RBIs, and pitched four scoreless innings of relief Tuesday to lead Arbor View’s softball team to an 8-1 win over visiting Palo Verde.
Ames struck out four and yielded four hits.
Kristina Billante went 3-for-3 with a double and three runs for Arbor View.
Basic 8, Coronado 1 — At Basic, Marissa Ross went 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles and three RBIs as the Wolves stunned the Cougars.
Leah Causey went 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs for Basic.
Legacy 10, Cheyenne 0 — At Legacy, Sierra Pico threw a five-inning one-hitter with 13 strikeouts to guide the Longhorns past the Desert Shields.
Pico also went 2-for-4 with a pair of triples and three RBIs.
Ashton Evans went 2-for-3 with two RBIs for Legacy, and teammate Alexis Fuller went 2-for-2 with an RBI.
Shadow Ridge 11, Faith Lutheran 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Krislyn Campos went 3-for-3 with two triples, four RBIs and two runs scored, and Danette Daguiar was 3-for-3 with a triple, three runs and a stolen base as the Mustangs blanked the Crusaders in five innings.
Winning pitcher Tana Feiner fired a two-hitter with five strikeouts and went 2-for-2 for the Mustangs.
Cimarron-Memorial 19, Mojave 2 — At Cimarron, Sarina Creswell went 2-for-2 with two doubles and three RBIs as the Spartans routed the Rattlers in five innings.
Cimarron pitchers Alexa Snyder and Michelle Knott combined on a two-hitter.
Pahrump Valley 15, Bonanza 4 — At Bonanza, winning pitcher Amanda Prior went 4-for-4 with a double and four RBIs as the Trojans downed the Bengals in six innings.
Megan Rabe went 2-for-3 with two doubles and an RBI for Bonanza.
Durango 9, Sierra Vista 5 — At Durango, Kendal Short went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs as the Trailblazers rallied to top the Mountain Lions.
Katie Moore went 3-for-4 with an RBI for Durango, which erased a 4-3 deficit with a four-run fourth inning.
Malory Lawson was 2-for-4 for Durango.
Desert Oasis 15, Western 0 — At Desert Oasis, Lenzi Cram homered, tripled and drove in two runs, and Mallory Hall went 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs as the Diamondbacks stormed past the Warriors in five innings.
Emily Heinz went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, and pitchers C.J. Wilson and Briona Santovito combined on a one-hit shutout for Desert Oasis, which scored 12 runs in the first inning.
Centennial 22, Foothill 6 — At Foothill, Heather Bowen tripled and homered to lead the Bulldogs to a rout of the Falcons.
Lacie Chakos doubled twice with two RBIs, and Bailie Nelson supplied three hits for Centennial, which got a homer from Savannah Horvath.
Kate Rauskin and Taylor Huntly combined to allow four hits.
Laughlin 21-14, Sandy Valley 11-1 — At Laughlin, Cassie Beggs hit a grand slam in the first game and struck out 12 batters in the second game to power the Cougars to a sweep of the Sidewinders in a pair of five-inning games.
Kayla Nelson also hit a grand slam for the Cougars in the first game.
Laughlin’s Paty Valdez had two triples and a double in the second game.
