Roundup: Basic rallies in seventh to beat Rancho

Angela Santillanes doubled home Sanoe Helenihi in the bottom of the seventh Monday to lift Basic’s softball team to a 7-6 home win over Rancho.

Helenihi lined a one-out single to left and went to second when the outfielder misplayed the ball. Santillanes then doubled her home with the winning run.

Helenihi was 4-for-4 with two doubles, a home run, three runs and an RBI. Santillanes went 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, and Jordan Stinnett was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs for Basic.

Ayanna Potter was 2-for-4 with a home run to lead Rancho. MacKenzie Perry and Lorena De La Torre each added two hits for the Rams.

Faith Lutheran 6, Shadow Ridge 4 — At Faith Lutheran, Hailey Hines and Grace Hornsby each had a home run as the Crusders beat the Mustangs.

Clara Heislen was 3-for-4, and Sophie Foster and Kelsey Howryla each had two hits and a run for Faith Lutheran.

Shadow Ridge’s She Clements was 3-for-3 with two runs. Alisha Schultz added two hits and two RBIs for the Mustangs.

Coronado 4, Green Valley 1 — At Green Valley, Tatum Spangler was 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, two runs and an RBI as the Cougars held off the Gators.

Aleah Baldonado was 2-for-4 with an RBI for Coronado, which scored twice in the top of the third.

Ashley Ward threw a four-hitter with one strikeout to get the win.

Green Valley’s Abigail Cordova allowed one earned run on six hits in 6⅓ innings.

Boulder City 8, Chaparral 0 — At Boulder City, Bailey Bennett-Jordan fired a three-hitter with 16 strikeouts as the Eagles beat the Cowboys.

Lily Osman had a two-run home run, and Ryann Reese went 3-for-4 with two runs for Boulder City. Ashley Wishard and Marleena Mills each added two hits for the Eagles.

Arbor View 14, Cimarron-Memorial 11 — At Cimarron, Roxanne Ines was 2-for-3 with a home run, three runs and two RBIs to help the Aggies top the Spartans.

Caitlin Livreri went 4-for-5 with a double, two runs and an RBI, and Torii Forsberg and Hannah Hickstein each went 3-for-5 for Arbor View. Forsberg doubled and drove in two runs, and Hickstein had a double.

Forsberg allowed two earned runs in 6⅔ innings of relief with seven strikeouts to get the win.

Diona Whitley had a home run and four RBIs to lead Cimarron.

Sierra Vista 19, Bishop Gorman 12 — At Gorman, Jessica Schneider went 3-for-5 with two home runs, a double and seven RBIs as the Mountain Lions out-slugged the Gaels.

Sierra Vista’s Mia Buranamontri homered and had four RBIs. Hola Rosalia Nakayama went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs, and Tyerra Kaaialii was 3-for-4 with three RBIs for the Mountain Lions.

Gorman’s Katelyn Hunter went 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs. Julia Bilodeau was 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs, and Darian Pancirov and Monique Passalacqua each hit a double for the Gaels.

Foothill 24, Eldorado 12 — At Eldorado, Leah Becker went 3-for-4 with two homers, five runs and five RBIs to help the Falcons out-slug the Sundevils.

Kylie Becker went 3-for-5 with a triple, five runs and an RBI, and Skylar Glaude, McKenzie Andrews, Ali Fox and Morgan Matsumoto each added two hits for Foothill.

Matsumoto and Zoe Vandeveer each added a homer for the Falcons.

Eldorado’s Roshanda Stevens was 3-for-5 with a double, two triples, three runs and three RBIs. Heather Holman went 2-for-2 with three RBIs, and Adriana Romero was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run for Eldorado.

Liberty 13, Silverado 1 — At Liberty, Morgan LaNeve was 3-for-3 with a homer and three RBIs to lead the Patriots to the five-inning win over the Skyhawks.

Cali Christopher was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, and McKenzie LaNeve was 2-for-2 with two RBIs for Liberty, which scored 10 runs in the first inning.

Dalyse Whiteside had two hits, including a double, for Silverado.

Desert Oasis 13, Durango 3 — At Durango, Jaid Riana Raval hit a three-run home run to help the Diamondbacks to the five-inning win over the Trailblazers.

Izriah Hodson and Maggie Shepard each added a double for Desert Oasis, which was helped by seven Durango errors.

Destiny Cisneros went 3-for-3 with a double for the Trailblazers.

Palo Verde 16, Legacy 0 — At Legacy, Makena Martin threw a three-inning perfect game and went 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs as the Panthers beat the Longhorns.

Martin struck out five.

Makall Whetten was 2-for-2 with a double, a triple, three runs and three RBIs, and Lauren Barker went 3-for-3 with two triples, three RBIs and a run for Palo Verde.

Grace Chavez was 2-for-2 with three RBIs, and Alyssa Lybbert was 2-for-2 with a double three runs and two RBIs for the Panthers. Taylor Askland drove in three runs for Palo Verde.

Moapa Valley 12, Virgin Valley 1 — At Mesquite, winning pitcher Emilie Barraza was 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs and four RBIs as the Pirates beat the Bulldogs in five innings.

Barraza allowed an unearned run on six hits with three strikeouts and two walks.

Sierra Harding was 2-for-3 with a run and two RBIs for Moapa Valley.

Taylor Barnum and Kylie Cannon each went 2-for-2 for Virgin Valley.

Del Sol 14, Tech 4 — At Del Sol, Hope Yaw went 4-for-4 with a double, a triple and five RBIs as the Dragons rolled past the Roadrunners in five innings.

Del Sol’s Amaia Marcos pitched four innings to earn the victory. Saleena Quichocho went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs, and teammate Angel Jones went 3-for-3 with two RBIs.

Emmily Wilson and Emily Sepulveda each hit a double for Tech.

Bonanza 15, Clark 0 — At Bonanza, Brooke Detomaso fired a two-hitter to lead the Bengals to the four-inning win over the Chargers.

Evalynn Sandoval doubled and drove in three runs for Bonanza, and Sara Riley added a double and an RBI for the Bengals.

Las Vegas 17, Valley 1 — At Las Vegas High, Melina Fabian was 3-for-3 with a double and three RBIs as the Wildcats rolled past the Vikings in three innings.

Sarina Ramirez tossed a two-hitter to get the win. Nicole Forrest went 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs, and Skylar Gorrell was 2-for-2 with three RBIs for Las Vegas.
