Roundup: Hayley Coreas’ walk-off homer gives Gorman win over Bonanza

Hayley Coreas led off the bottom of the seventh inning with a solo home run to give Bishop Gorman’s softball team a 4-3 home win over Bonanza on Monday.

Carla LaRosa hit a two-run homer in the top of the seventh for the Bengals to tie it, 3-3.

Monique Passalacqua doubled for the Gaels, who led 3-0 after four innings. Teammate Mia Weckel went 3-for-3.

Chaparral 5, Cheyenne 4 — At Cheyenne, Losi Brown pitched a complete game and smacked a two-run homer to lead the Cowboys over the Desert Shields.

Brown was 2-for-3 and her homer helped key a three-run second inning that gave the Cowboys a 5-0 lead.

She allowed nine hits and struck out seven.

Victoria Rosales was 3-for-4 with an RBI for Cheyenne, which scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh.

Hannah Tennant allowed three hits in six innings with 11 strikeouts for the Desert Shields.

Rancho 4, Foothill 2 — At Rancho, Kaitlyn Suarez went 3-for-3 with three doubles to lift the Rams over the Falcons.

Gianna Carosone doubled and knocked in a run for Rancho, and Samantha Paiva went 2-for-3 with an RBI.

MacKenzie Perry threw a complete game for the Rams, and hit a double.

Leah Becker went 2-for-4 with a triple for the Falcons.

Sierra Vista 9, Desert Oasis 7 — At Sierra Vista, Aaliyah Medina went 4-for-4 with a double and three RBIs as the Mountain Lions topped the Diamondbacks.

Mia Buranamontri was 3-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI for Sierra Vista, and teammate Taylore Edwards hit a double.

Sarena Lopez threw a complete game for the Mountain Lions.

Basic 10, Liberty 1 — At Liberty, Alyssa Ferguson and Jordan Stinnett each had a double and three RBIs to lead the Wolves over the Patriots.

Mikayla Berg had a double and a triple for the Wolves, and Sanoe Helenihi went 3-for-5. Lauren Koshak was 3-for-4 with an RBI for Basic.

Basic’s Shelby Basso hurled a complete game with 11 strikeouts, and went 2-for-4 with two RBIs.

Faith Lutheran 16, Cimarron-Memorial 5 — At Cimarron, Kelsey Howryla hit two home runsand had three RBIs as the Crusaders ran away from the Spartans.

Clara Heislen homered and scored twice for the Crusaders, and Audrey Kirsch had two doubles. Teammate Maggie Whipple doubled and knocked in three.

Mya’Liah Bethea homered and had three RBIs for the Spartans, and Kaeley Roldan hit a home run.

Spring Valley 20, Clark 0 — At Clark, Madison Hood was 3-for-3 with a double, a triple, two RBIs and two runs as the Grizzlies routed the Chargers in three-innings.

Chryshelle Abril-Ryan was 3-for-3 with four runs and an RBI for Spring Valley, and teamamte Camryn Vereen went 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBIs.

Hood also threw a two-hitter with eight strikeouts to get the win.

Pahrump Valley 16, Tech 0 — At Pahrump, Virginia Weir had a pair of doubles as the Trojans trounced the Roadrunners in three innings.

McKayla Bartley went 3-for-3 with a double for the Trojans, and Alyvia Briscoe went 2-for-2 with a double.

Hailey Cuellar and Nicky Velazquez combined on the no-hitter for Pahrump.

Boulder City 17, Western 0 — At Western, Jerra Hinson went 2-for-3 with a double, three runs and two RBIs in the Eagles’ five-inning rout of the Warriors.

Micayla Gegan doubled and knocked in three for the Eagles, Lily Osman had a double and two RBIs.

Bailey Bennett-Jordan struck out six in two perfect innings for Boulder City.

Virgin Valley 25, Sunrise Mountain 13 — At Sunrise Mountain, Savannah Price was 4-for-6 with a double, a triple and five RBIs as the Bulldogs beat the Miners.

Autumn Boatright was 2-for-6 with two doubles and five RBIs, and Taylor Barnum went 3-for-5 with four runs and two RBIs, and Jessica Barnum was 3-for-6 with three runs for Virgin Valley.

Kari Wakefield, Calee Clem, Kylie Cannon and Karyme DeSantiago each added two hits for the Bulldogs.

Christabelle Garner was 2-for-3 with three runs, and Kayla Bryan was 2-for-3 with two RBIs for Sunrise Mountain.

Mojave 10, Moapa Valley 8 — At Mojave, the Rattlers fended off the Pirates.

Del Sol 18, Desert Pines 15 — At Desert Pines, the Dragons out-slugged the Jaguars.
