ROUNDUP: Lacro, Panthers rally past Legacy

Melissa Lacro went 4-for-5 with a home run, a triple, four RBIs and three runs Saturday to lead Palo Verde’s softball team to an 11-8 win over Legacy.
Rachael Turner went 3-for-4 for the Panthers, who rallied from an 8-2 second-inning deficit.
Alysia Santos went 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs for the Longhorns.
Downey (Calif.) 6, Centennial 5 — At Torrance, Calif., Rachel Rodriguez scored from second on a misplayed sacrifice bunt with no outs in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift Downey past the
Bulldogs in the third-place game of the Torrance National Tournament.
Centennial led 5-2 before Downey scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth to tie the game.
Downey began the seventh with consecutive singles. Ale Guillen’s bunt was fielded cleanly, but the throw to first was dropped, and Rodriguez came around to score.
Sonja Lawrence was 2-for-4 for Centennial, which had 11 different players get at least one hit.
Taylor Huntly was 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI, and Heather Bowen was 1-for-3 with a double for Centennial.
Moorpark (Calif.) 8, Centennial 0 — At Torrance, Calif., Alexa Curt was 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs to help Moorpark top the Bulldogs in the semifinals of the Torrance National Tournament.
Amanda Lorenz was 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs for Moorpark.
Huntly and Bowen had Centennial’s two hits.
Green Valley 10, Jefferson (Texas) 0 — At Torrance, Calif., Fenixx Henderson tossed a four-inning no-hitter with three strikeouts and no walks to lead the Gators by Jefferson in the Torrance National Tournament.
Chelsea Perez was 3-for-3 for Green Valley. Maggie Manwarren went 2-for-2, and Jinger Meuir was 2-for-3 for the Gators.
Stockdale (Calif.) 5, Green Valley 3 — At Torrance, Calif., the Mustangs scored twice in the bottom of the sixth inning to break a 3-3 tie and top the Gators in the Torrance National Tournament.
Henderson was 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, and Meuir was 2-for-3 with a double for Green Valley.
Lakewood (Calif.) 9, Coronado 2 — At Torrance, Calif., Lakewood scored in all but one inning en route to a six-inning win over the Cougars in the Torrance National Tournament.
Basia Query was 2-for-3 for Coronado.
Bishop Montgomery (Calif.) 10, Coronado 5 — At Torrance, Calif., The Knights used a four-run fifth inning to pull away from the Cougars in the Torrance National Tournament.
Haley Harrison was 2-for-4 with a triple, two runs and an RBI, and Alex Battest was 2-for-2 with an RBI for Coronado.
Arbor View 14, Foothill 3 — At Torrance, Calif., Dacia Sykes went 4-for-4 with a home run, a double and three RBIs to help the Aggies rout the Falcons in six innings in the Torrance National Tournament.
Karli Lehr was 3-for-4 with three doubles, two runs and two RBIs, and Kellie Anderson was 2-for-4 for Arbor View, which used a seven-run fifth inning to pull away.
West Torrance (Calif.) 5, Arbor View 1 — At Torrance, Calif., West Torrance used a three-run third inning on its way to a win over the Aggies in the Torrance National Tournament.
Anderson tripled and scored on Lehr’s single for Arbor View.
Verrado (Ariz.) 17, Bishop Gorman 8 — At Torrance, Calif., winning pitcher Shea Smith went 2-for-4 with a home run, and the Vipers used an 11-run first-inning to defeat the Gaels in five innings in the Torrance National Tournament.
Alexandria Gordon went 2-for-2 and scored two runs, and Shelby Estocado was 2-for-4 for Gorman, which also got a home run from Dayton Yingling.
Redondo Union (Calif.) 6, Bishop Gorman 5 — At Torrance, Calif., Redondo Union grabbed a 6-1 lead in the fourth inning and held on to nip the Gaels in the Torrance National Tournament.
Jasmine Gibson was 3-for-4 with a home run, two runs and two RBIs for Gorman.
