ROUNDUP: Lesniak’s seventh-inning homer propels Tech past Valley

Nicole Lesniak’s three-run home run in the top of the seventh inning Thursday powered Tech’s softball team to a 6-4 win at Valley.

Amanda Roark pitched a complete game, scattering seven hits with 10 strikeouts to earn the win for the Roadrunners.

Arbor View 5, Green Valley 2 — At Arbor View, Savanah Webster was 3-for-4 with three RBIs, and the Aggies used a four-run third inning to top Green Valley.

Amanda Jones went 3-for-4, and Karli Lehr was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI for Arbor View.

Desiree Laswell was 2-for-4 with a double for the Gators.

Foothill 9, Desert Oasis 2 — At Foothill, Kylie Ishikawa hit a three-run homer and finished 2-for-3 with two runs scored to help the Falcons cruise past the Diamondbacks.

Kylee Taylor homered and went 1-for-2 with two RBIs and two runs scored for Foothill, which scored seven runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Liberty 6, Las Vegas 2 — At Liberty, Francesca Foti was 2-for-2 with two doubles and an RBI and tossed a two-hitter with four strikeouts as the Patriots defeated the Wildcats.

Liberty’s Nikki Blindeagle had a two-run double, and Megan Patras and Breanna English each added an RBI triple for Liberty.

Legacy 11, Silverado 8 — At Legacy, Darcey Cochran walked and scored the go-ahead run in a three-run sixth inning as the Longhorns rallied from an 8-1 deficit to beat Silverado.

Cochran also tripled and scored three runs, and Sierra Pico went 2-for-3 with a triple, a double, three RBIs and two runs for Legacy, which scored seven runs in the fourth inning to tie the game at 8-8.

Riana Splinter went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored for the Skyhawks. Emily Galante was 2-for-3 with a double and two runs for Silverado. 

Del Sol 13, Bishop Gorman 10 — At Bishop Gorman, Ruthie Torres went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs, and Karla Ramirez went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs to lead the Dragons past the Gaels.

O’Sheyon Rollins went 3-for-4 with three runs, and Gracie Martinez finished 2-for-4 with three RBIs and one run scored for Gorman. 

Lake Mead 3, The Meadows 1 — At Mountain View, Abby Gamino hit a bunt single, stole second and third base and scored the go-ahead run on Emma Khhachikian’s bunt single in the fifth inning to give the Eagles the edge over the Mustangs in the Mountain View Spring Slam.

Khachikian also tallied an insurance run, and Amanda Wellman went 2-for-2 with a run scored for Lake Mead.

Kayla Spenz tossed 10 strikeouts for The Meadows. Robyn Monkarsh went 2-for-2 and scored the Mustangs’ lone run.

Calvary Chapel 15, Mountain View 0 — At Mountain View, Calvary Chapel scored six runs in the third inning and eight more in the fourth to pull away from the Saints in the Mountain View Spring Slam.

Danielle Johnson doubled and drove in two runs, and Kristin Ulrich and Sammie Mann each added two RBIs for the Lions.

Marshall Fundamental (Calif.) 2, Calvary Chapel 0 — At Mountain View, the Eagles limited the Lions to just one hit — a fifth-inning double by Jamie Schmidt.
