Roundup: Liberty sneaks by Green Valley

Shelby Carvalho had a triple and three RBIs Friday to power Liberty’s softball team to a 7-6 road victory against Green Valley.

Cali Christopher doubled, and McKenzie LaNeve was 2-for-3 for the Patriots, who scored five runs in the fifth inning.

Olivia McClain had two doubles for the Gators.

Rancho 17, Silverado 7 — At Silverado, Gianna Carosone doubled and had three RBIs to power the Rams over the Skyhawks.

Kaitlyn Suarez scored four times for the Rams, who benefited from 14 Silverado errors.

Dalyse Whiteside was 2-for-4 with two runs for the Skyhawks.

Bishop Gorman 14, Clark 1 — At Clark, Monique Passalacqua was 2-for-2 with two doubles and four runs as the Gaels took care of the Chargers in five innings.

Nycole Cootes, Brianna Spizzuco and Julia Bilodeou all doubled for the Gaels.

Sofia Argumaniz hit a double for Clark.

Basic 13, Las Vegas 0 — At Las Vegas High, Shelby Basso twirled a one-hit shutout to lead the Wolves over the Wildcats in five innings.

Jordyn Ebert tripled and doubled for the Wolves, and Sanoe Helenihi had a triple.

Angela Santillanes was 3-for-3 with a double for Basic, and Jordan Stinnett and Mikayla Berg both doubled.

Foothill 13, Valley 0 — At Valley, Allie Fox spun a three-hitter as the Falcons beat the Vikings in five innings.

Fox struck out four with no walks.

Kylie Becker had three hits and three RBIs for Foothill, and teammate Skylar Glaude had two hits, including a double.

Desert Oasis 15, Spring Valley 0 — At Desert Oasis, Holly Severance was 3-for-3 with a double to lead the Diamondbacks over the Grizzlies in three innings.

Fia Tofi, Meaghan McInerney and Izriah Hodson hall had a double and two hits for Desert Oasis, and Jada Moreno doubled.

Teegan Teal doubled for the Grizzlies.

Eldorado 21, Canyon Springs 4 — At Canyon Springs, Roshonda Stevens homered and scored three times as the Sundevils routed the Pioneers in five innings.

Mariana Maldonado and Adriana Romero each doubled for Eldorado, which scored 11 runs in the second inning.

Victoria Spivey doubled for Canyon Springs.

Sunrise Mountain 19, Tech 4 — At Tech, the Miners rolled the Roadrunners in four innings.

Pahranagat Valley 15-17, Sandy Valley 0-0 — At Alamo, the Panthers threw a pair of no-hitters and Morgan Harris had three home runs in two three-inning victories over the Sidewinders.

Kaitlyn Davis had a perfect game with seven strikeouts in the opener, and Harris was 2-for-3 with a double, a homer and four RBIs.

In the nightcap, Ashlyn Wadsworth allowed one baserunner on an illegal pitch in the first inning. She struck out seven, and Harris went 2-for-4 with two homers and four RBIs.

Karley Whipple was 3-for-3 in the nightcap for Pahranagat Valley.

Lake Mead 17-19, Mountain View 2-2 — At Mountain View, Josey White was 4-for-4 with two homers and six RBIs to power the Eagles over the Saints in three innings of a doubleheader.

Lauryn Freund had two hits, two walks and scored four times for the Eagles.

In the second game, White was 4-for-4 with a home run, two doubles and five RBIs for the Eagles to complete the sweep of the Saints.

Jilian Morejon was 3-for-3 with three RBIs for the Eagles.

Needles 18-23, The Meadows 0-0 — At The Meadows, Jaycee Fragoso had four hits and five RBIs in the nightcap and drove in three runs in the opener as Needles swept a pair of three-inning games.

Erin Breaux had three hits in the first game as Needles set the tone early with a 13-run first inning. Paige Murch allowed just one hit and struck out three for Needles in the opening game.

In the finale, Fragoso spun a three-hitter and struck out five. Paige Murch added four hits and three RBIs, and Preslee Murch drove in four runs for Needles.

Indian Springs 16-3, Beaver Dam 6-5 — At Littlefield, Ariz., Aspen Avery allowed just four hits in 14 innings of work, including throwing a no-hitter in the nightcap, but the Thunderbirds had to settle for a split with the Diamondbacks.

In the first game, Aubree Young and Hailey Linfoot each had three hits, and Linfoot drove in three runs as Indian Springs scored 10 times in the final three innings to pull away. Avery struck out 15 in the opener.

In the nightcap, Beaver Dam took advantage of 14 walks to score five runs despite being no-hit.

Yesenia Ortega tossed a one-hitter for the Diamondbacks. Both Ortega and Avery struck out 11 in the finale.

Lincoln County 18-21, Calvary Chapel 2-6 — At Panaca, the Lynx swept a doubleheader against the Lions.
