ROUNDUP: Nelson fans 10 as Wildcats down Durango

Kristina Nelson tossed a four-hitter and struck out 10 Wednesday to lead Las Vegas High’s softball team to a 5-1 win at Durango.

The Wildcats did all of their scoring in the fifth inning and had only one hit in the game.

Dallas Boyce was 2-for-3 with a home run and struck out six in four innings of relief for the Trailblazers.

Arbor View 10, Pahrump Valley 2 — At Arbor View, Chelsa Baca fired a six-hitter with 14 strikeouts and went 2-for-3 with a triple to lead the Aggies over the Trojans.

Karli Lehr belted a home run and scored three runs for Arbor View, which used a six-run second inning to pull away.

Foothill 14, Bonanza 4 — At Foothill, Lauren Penksa was 3-for-4 with two doubles and five RBIs as the Falcons routed the Bengals in five innings.

Sarah Maddox was 4-for-4 with two runs, and Alexia Campbell added a triple and three RBIs for Foothill, which had 19 hits.

Caitlyn Lloyd was 2-for-2 with a home run and four RBIs for Bonanza.

Chaparral 9, Mojave 2 —
At Mojave, winning pitcher Nicole Lesniak went 2-for-4 with a two-run double to lead the Cowboys past the Rattlers.

Vanessa Cortez was 2-for-4 with a three-run double for Mojave, which got two hits from Lauren Lesniak.

Jazmine Almendarez supplied a two-run double for Mojave.

Rancho 15, Tech 6 — At Rancho, McKinzi Vega was 3-for-4 with a triple, a double and an RBI, and the Rams scored eight times in the sixth inning to pull away from the Roadrunners.

Desert Oasis 13, Sierra Vista 3 — At Desert Oasis, Raina Ladislao went 2-for-2 with a triple, a double and four RBIs as the Diamondbacks topped the Mountain Lions in five innings.

Shonda Badayos tossed a four-hitter and struck out five for to earn the win.

Legacy 21, Clark 1 — At Legacy, Alyssa Sotelo was 3-for-3 with two doubles and three RBIs to lead the Longhorns over the Chargers in five innings.

Kiani Elia-Mendiola went 2-for-3 with a double, a triple and three RBIs for Legacy, which held Clark to just two hits.

Sunrise Mountain 12, Canyon Springs 1 — At Canyon Springs, Sydni Beuchat and Natalie Sharp each went 2-for-4 to lead the Miners past the Pioneers in five innings.

Bishop Manogue 10, Bishop Gorman 6 — At Gorman, Chrysta Young was 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, two runs and an RBI to help the Miners top the Gaels.

Gorman’s Dayton Yingling went 3-for-4 with a triple, a double, two runs and two RBIs, and Shelby Estocado was 2-for-4 with a two-run home run for the Gaels.

Boulder City 5, Faith Lutheran 2 — At Boulder City, Mikaela Brown tossed a three-hitter to lead the Eagles over the Crusaders.

Alyssa Ybarra was 3-for-4, and Kasey Ochoa and Alex Frye each went 2-for-3 for Boulder City.

Stacie Graham was 2-for-3 for Faith Lutheran.

Indian Springs 11, Lake Mead 10 — At Mountain View, Natasha Cruz went 2-for-3 with a triple and two runs as the Thunderbirds edged the Eagles in four innings in the Spring Slam.

Taylor Badua-Kono supplied a two-run double for Lake Mead.

Laughlin 19, Calvary Chapel 6 — At Mountain View, Cassie Beggs earned the win and supplied three runs, an RBI single, and two walks at the plate to power the Cougars past the Lions in the Spring Slam.

Maddison Petrelli homered and scored two runs for Calvary Chapel.

Mountain View 9, Laughlin 0 — At Mountain View, Savannah Alley belted a grand slam to help power the Saints past the Cougars in the Spring Slam.

Rose Adkins allowed two hits in five innings to earn the win for Mountain View, which used a five-run fourth inning to pull away.

Arizona Lutheran (Ariz.) 6, Mountain View 3 — At Mountain View, Jordan McClellan fired a five-inning one-hitter with eight strikeouts to lead the Coyotes over the Saints in the Spring Slam.

Lyric Carmack went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs for Arizona Lutheran.

Anna DeCarolis supplied a two-run single for Mountain View.

Shadow Ridge 24, Western 1 — At Western, the Mustangs blitzed the Warriors in five innings.
