ROUNDUP: Pico’s double lifts Longhorns over Arbor View

Sierra Pico doubled home Darcey Cochran with the only run of the game in the eighth inning Thursday as Legacy’s softball team edged host Arbor View, 1-0.
Cochran reached on an error to begin the eighth and moved to second on another error.
Pico tossed a four-hitter with 13 strikeouts for the Longhorns (19-7, 5-7 Northwest), who moved within a game of the Aggies (14-14, 6-6) for the final playoff spot in the Northwest League.
Arbor View’s Amanda Jones tossed a four-hitter with eight strikeouts.
Shadow Ridge 10, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, Mandy Harmon tossed a six-inning one-hitter to lead the Mustangs past the Desert Shields.
Harmon, who fanned seven, carried a perfect game into the fifth inning before Cheyenne’s Melanie Manley broke it up with a one-out single.
Ashley Huddleston was 4-for-4 with a home run and a double and two RBIs for Shadow Ridge, and Courtney Winnett and Rae-Ann Bohm each went 3-for-4.
Centennial 7, Cimarron-Memorial 2 — At Cimarron, Juelaine Noa went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs to lead the Bulldogs over the Spartans.
Winning pitcher Lindsay Konopelko tossed a five-hitter with five strikeouts.
Centennial’s Johnna Brown went 2-for-2 with a home run.
Cimarron’s Samantha Valdez went 2-for-3.
Palo Verde 13, Mojave 0 — At Palo Verde, Angel Councel and Lauren Stover each drove in three runs as the Panthers beat the Rattlers.
Councel was 2-for-3 with a double, and Stover was 1-for-3 with a double.
Mojave’s Leslie Beltran was 2-for-3 with a double.
Foothill 5, Silverado 4 — At Silverado, Jennifer James walked and scored on an error to tie the game, and Lakesha Guidry scored the go-ahead run on Kylie Ishikawa’s single as the Falcons rallied from a four-run deficit to beat the Skyhawks.
Ishikawa finished 3-for-4 with three RBIs, and Rhiana Balaun also went 3-for-4.
Silverado’s Amanda Delgado went 1-for-3 with two RBIs and one run.
Coronado 11, Del Sol 1 — At Coronado, Allie Amato was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs and pitched a two-hitter as the Cougars defeated the Dragons.
Coronado’s Morgan Yuhas went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI, Katie Cochran was 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI, and Kim Dawson was 2-for-3 with one run and two RBIs.
Basic 4, Tech 1 — At Basic, Lacey Romo went 3-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs and tossed a four-hitter to lead the Wolves past the Roadrunners.
Romo struck out 11.
Faith Lutheran 3, Sierra Vista 2 — At Faith Lutheran, the Crusaders scored three runs in the seventh inning to rally past the Mountain Lions.
Sierra Vista pitcher Maria Capparelli struck out the first three batters she faced in the seventh, but the first — Ashley Green — reached on a dropped third strike.
Brittany Hampton followed with a single and scored on Kailey McEvilly’s two-run double.
Maya Barnes’ walk-off single plated McEvilly.
Capparelli tossed a four-hitter with seven strikeouts and doubled and homered.
Henderson International 18, Lake Mead 4 — At Henderson International, Alyssa Ayers went 3-for-4 as the Wolverines pounded the Eagles in four innings.
Henderson International’s Lee Harrison (two RBIs) and Lindsay Seaberry had two hits each.
