ROUNDUP: Pinkston’s one-hitter helps Shadow Ridge top Trailblazers

Sarah Pinkston tossed a one-hitter Tuesday to guide Shadow Ridge’s softball team to a 7-0 home win over Durango.

Pinkston struck out five and walked one.

Jojo Brewer went 4-for-4 with a double and an RBI, and Justin Garganese was 2-for-4 with two triples and two RBIs for Shadow Ridge.

Palo Verde 6, Spring Valley 0 — At Palo Verde, Melissa Lacro spun a three-hit shutout, and Dejanae Gage hit a three-run homer in the second inning to lift the Panthers past the Grizzlies.

Rachel Williams was 3-for-4 for Palo Verde.

Georgi DeLio went 1-for-3 with a double for Spring Valley.

Las Vegas 17, Canyon Springs 0 — At Canyon Springs, Kristina Nelson fired a no-hitter with 14 strikeouts and no walks as the Wildcats downed the Pioneers in five innings.

Canyon Springs’ lone baserunner came on a dropped third strike in the fourth inning.

Nelson was 3-for-5 with a triple and four RBIs, and Paulina Franco went 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs for the Wildcats.

Arbor View 15, Sierra Vista 0 — At Sierra Vista, Ashlyn Ames was 4-for-5 with two doubles, a triple, four RBIs and three runs to help the Aggies down the Mountain Lions in six innings.

Ames also got the win in relief, allowing one hit in four innings. She struck out seven.

Marissa Bachman went 2-for-4 with a double, a triple and two RBIs for Arbor View.

Green Valley 11, Valley 1 — At Valley, Fenixx Henderson threw a two-hitter with 10 strikeouts and two walks, and the Gators scored six runs in the seventh to pull away.

Maggie Manwarren was 5-for-5 with three runs and an RBI, and Jinger Meuir went 2-for-4 with a triple, three RBIs and two runs for Green Valley.

Cheyenne 10, Pahrump Valley 7 — At Cheyenne, Vanessa Sanders was 3-for-3 with a home run, a triple, a double, three runs and four RBIs to help the Desert Shields top the Trojans.

Taylor Cole was 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI, and Courtney Gain went 1-for-1 with three runs and an RBI for Cheyenne.

Faith Lutheran 12, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, Amanda Young was 3-for-3 with a double, and Rachel Kerr went 2-for-3 with a double as the Crusaders blanked the Rattlers in five innings.

Stacie Graham scattered five hits to earn the win.

Clark 22, Western 20 — At Western, Kaitlyn Szeles went 3-for-6 with two RBIs as the Chargers outlasted the Warriors.

Alex Hathy was 2-for-4 with an RBI, and Jackielyn Gaona went 2-for-6 with three RBIs for Clark.

Brenda Sandoval was 4-for-5 with a double and three RBIs for Western.

Tech 31, Mountain View 16 — At Tech, Kimmie Rodriguez went 2-for-2 with a triple and six RBIs, and the Roadrunners used a 20-run fourth inning to rally from a 14-8 deficit and beat the Saints in five innings.

Emmalyne Laymon was 2-for-3 with five RBIs, and Austyn Dziewit went 3-for-5 with a double and four RBIs for Tech, which took advantage of 19 walks and five hit batters.

Rose Adkins was 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs, and Elle Germany was 1-for-2 with a double and three RBIs for Mountain View.

Indian Springs 14, Laughlin 4 — At Indian Springs, Heather Thormahlen pitched a one-hitter with six strikeouts to help the Thunderbirds to the five-inning win.

Thormahlen also had an RBI double for Indian Springs, which managed just five hits.

The Meadows 18, Sandy Valley 8 — At The Meadows, Nikki Lenardson went 3-for-5 with a triple, a double, three RBIs and three runs as the Mustangs downed the Sidewinders in five innings.

Dani Otter was 3-for-4 with two doubles and four runs, and Gianna Capanna went 2-for-4 with a double and three runs for The Meadows.

Pahranagat Valley 16-17, Beaver Dam (Ariz.) 1-3 — At Alamo, Cheyenne Harris went 3-for-4 with a double in the opening game as the Panthers swept the Diamondbacks in a pair of five-inning games.

Kennedy Huntsman was 3-for-4 and teamed with Merinna Scott on a one-hitter in the first game.

Scott was 3-for-3 in the nightcap. Huntsman and Bailee Hosier combined on a one-hitter in the second game.
