ROUNDUP: Roark fans eight, drives in lone run as Tech nips Basic

Amanda Roark tossed a three-hitter with eight strikeouts Tuesday to lead Tech’s softball team to a 1-0 win at Basic.
Roark also drove in the game’s lone run in the sixth inning, singling home Nicole Lesniak, who drew a two-out walk and stole second.
Green Valley 11, Liberty 0 — At Liberty, Desiree Laswell fired a one-hitter and struck out 11 as the Gators blanked the Patriots in six innings.
Chelsea Anderson had a double and three RBIs for the Gators. Ali Bodnar added a double and two RBIs, and Carly Smith had two hits and an RBI for Green Valley.
Foothill 6, Silverado 4 — At Silverado, Myranda Mortel socked a two-run homer in the fifth inning that gave the Falcons the lead for good as Foothill downed the Skyhawks.
Emily Galante had a solo home run for Silverado.
Coronado 15, Del Sol 4 — At Coronado, Kendall Sauter and Courtney Banks combined to toss a three-hitter as the Cougars took advantage of nine errors in a rout of the Dragons.
Amanda Garrison tripled, drove in two RBIs, and scored twice for Coronado. Jessica Moriarty added a double, an RBI and a run scored for the Cougars.
Las Vegas 5, Rancho 2 — At Rancho, Jenice Gutierrez was 2-for-4 with two RBIs to lead the Wildcats past the Rams.
Monique Hernandez added two hits and an RBI, and also picked up the win in relief.
 
Amber Marlett had two hits, a run and an RBI for Rancho.
Desert Pines 13, Sunrise Mountain 1 — At Desert Pines, Megan Robbins tossed a no-hitter to help the Jaguars blast the Miners in five innings.
Robbins also triple, doubled, and drove in three runs for Desert Pines, which had five hits.
Eldorado 6, Valley 2 — At Eldorado, Ashley Jarzombek carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning as the Sundevils defeated Valley.
Megan Jaramillo had an RBI double and a run scored for the Sundevils.
Zoe Galindo tripled and Mikayla Romero hit an RBI single for Valley.
Chaparral 8, Canyon Springs 7 — At Canyon Springs, Chase Marchello led off the top of the eighth with a walk, stole second and scored on a throwing error to allow the visiting Cowboys to sneak past the Pioneers.
Jeniece Morgan doubled twice, and Destini Hover supplied two hits for Chaparral.
Victoria Rivera went 3-for-4, and Marquee Velasquez was 2-for-2 for Canyon Springs.
North Valleys 9, Lake Mead 5 — At Lake Mead, Ashley Pender had a three-run homer in the top of the eighth that lifted the visiting Panthers past the Eagles.
Pender finished 3-for-5 with four RBIs.
The Panthers trailed 5-1 but tied the game with four runs in the sixth.
Amanda Wellman and Emma Khachikian had two hits apiece for Lake Mead.
