Roundup: Silverado outslugs Green Valley

Megan Johnson went 3-for-4 with two RBIs Friday as visiting Silverado edged Green Valley in softball, 11-10.

Silverado’s Dalyse Whiteside went 3-for-5 with an RBI, and Alexa Ostolaza and Alezandra Guariglia each had two RBIs.

Stephany Ahmed went 3-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI for Green Valley. Olivia McClain had two doubles and two RBIs, Savannah Fabro had two hits and two RBIs and Tyre Hilton had two hits and an RBI for the Gators.

Moapa Valley 5, Boulder City 2 — At Boulder City, Sierra Harding went 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs to lead the Pirates past the Eagles.

Aria Messer and Emilie Barraza each scored twice for Moapa Valley.

Barraza went the distance, scattering seven hits, to get the win. She struck out three with one walk.

Bailey Bennett-Jordan drove in two runs, and Marleena Mills and Jerra Hinson each went 2-for-3 for Boulder City.

Durango 12, Spring Valley 2 — At Durango, Alexis Geraldo hit a two-run homer to help the Trailblazers to the six-inning win over the Grizzlies.

Katilin Fazendin went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs for Durango. Trinity Valentine tripled, and Keely Thompson doubled for the Trailblazers.

Madison Boyce went the distance, allowing four hits and striking out three. She allowed a pair of unearned runs in the first after Durango committed two errors.

Sierra Vista 14, Bonanza 0 — At Sierra Vista, Tyerra Kaaialii was 2-for-2 with two doubles and four RBIs as the Mountian Lions beat the Bengals in five innings.

Hola Rosalia Nakayama was 3-for-3 with two doubles, a triple, two runs and two RBIs, and Aaliyah Medina went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs for Sierra Vista.

Taylore Edwards, Jazmyn Martinez and Andrea Barajas each added two hits for Sierra Vista.

Harmony Dominguez threw a four-hitter to get the win.

Chowchilla (Calif.) 4, Rancho 3 — At Fresno, California, the Tribe broke a 3-3 tie with a run in the top of the sixth inning and edged the Rams in six innings in the Washington Union Invitational.

Amber Ortiz allowed eight hits and struck out three for Rancho.

Western 29, Tech 23 — At Tech, Angel Madrid went 2-for-4 as the Warriors defeated the Roadrunners.

Tech’s Melissa Fuller went 6-for-6 with a double and a triple.

Desert Pines 11, Del Sol 1 — At Del Sol, Alejandra Olan went 4-for-5 with an RBI and three runs as the Jaguars rolled past the Dragons.

Desert Pines’ Milah Rendon pitched a four-hitter with six strikeouts to get the win.

Mireyah Ortiz also went 2-for-4 with two RBIs for Desert Pines, which scored twice in the top of the seventh.

Las Vegas 19, Canyon Springs 0 — At Las Vegas, Skylar Gorrell threw a thee-inning no-hitter as the Wildcats beat the Pioneers.

Gorrell struck out six and walked two, and she also went 2-for-2 with three RBIs.

Sarina Ramirez was 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs for the Las Vegas.

Lincoln County 16-7, Lake Mead 1-4 — At Lake Mead, Sadie Soderborg doubled and got a save, and the Lynx scored five runs in the bottom of the third to take over in the nightcap of a doubleheader against the Eagles.

Hannah Bleak and Macie Howard each scored twice for the Lynx.

Emma Thomason had a double and two RBIs for the Eagles.

In the first game, Soderborg struck out 12 in going the distance, and allowed two hits.

Brynlee Wadsworth had a home run, three runs and three RBIs for the Lynx, Howard was 3-for-4 with four RBIs and three runs, and Kailey Kelley hit a double.

Josey White homered for the Eagles.
