ROUNDUP: Sundevils’ Jarzombek allows two hits in two wins at March Warm-Up

Ashley Jarzombek tossed a four-inning no-hitter in her first game Friday, then backed it up two more wins as Eldorado went 3-0 in the March Warm-Up Tournament in St. George, Utah.
Jarzombek had a four-inning two-hitter, and a fourinning three-hitter in the next two wins.
Jarzombek also homered in the first game, a 20-0 win over Cottonwood (Utah).
Taylor Schroeder went 3-for-3 with a home run to help the Sundevils, and teammate Brook Ortiz went 3-for-4 with a double.
In the second game, Jarzombek struck out seven as the Sundevils cruised to a 13-3 win over Dixie (Utah).
In the last game, Jarzombek struck out seven in a 15-5 win over Northridge (Utah). Schroeder homered, and Eldoado had 14 hits.
Bishop Gorman 5, Logan (Utah) 1 — At St. George, Utah, Dayton Yingling went 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI and also threw a two-hitter to lead the Gaels past the Grizzlies in the March Warm-Up Tournament.
Yingling struck out eight in the five-inning game.
Bailey Zavala was 3-for-3 with an RBI, Alexandria Gordon was 2-for-3 with two runs, and Shelbie Estocado homered for Gorman.
Bishop Gorman 8, Timpview (Utah) 0 — At St. George, Utah, Yingling threw a four-inning no-hitter to lead the Gaels to a win over the Thunderbirds.
Yingling struck out 10 and walked three.
Miranda Robles went 3-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs, and Jasmine Gibson went 2-for-2 with a run scored.
Bishop Gorman 10, Delta (Utah) 3 — At St. George, Yingling was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI, and struck out eight in five innings to lead the Gaels past the Rabbits.
Victoria Villanueva was 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBIs, and Estocado and Carrie Keller each added two hits for Gorman.
Silverado 11, Provo (Utah) 1 — At St. George, Utah, Taylee Heckman hit a three-run homer and pitched a four-inning two-hitter to lead the Skyhawks to a win in the March Warm-Up Tournament.
Riana Splinter and Kaitlyn Amaral each added a two-run homer for Silverado.
Boulder City 7, Hunter (Utah) 5 — At St. George, Utah, Casey Ochoa went 3-for-3 with a home run, a double and an RBI as the Eagles topped the Wolverines in the March Warm-Up Tournament.
Taylor McKeever added a solo home run, and Karlee Koopman drove in two runs for Boulder City.
Salem Hills 4, Boulder City 0 — At St. George, Utah, the Skyhawks used a three-run third inning to down the Eagles in five innings in the March Warm-Up Tournament.
Koopman’s single was Boulder City’s only hit.
Snow Canyon (Utah) 7, Boulder City 0 — At St. George, Utah, the Warriors erupted for six runs in the fourth inning to down the Eagles in the March Warm-Up Tournament.
Boulder City managed just two hits in the five-inning game.
Basic 9, Wasatch (Utah) 5 — At St. George, Utah, Hailey Collins hit a two-run single in the top of the fifth inning to bring in the go-ahead run as the Wolves topped the Wasps in the March Warm-Up Tournament.
Jessica Pittman was 2-for-4, including a single during Basic’s six-run fifth.
Basic 9, Desert Hills (Utah) 1 — At St. George, Utah, Paige Blake was 3-for-4 with an RBI to lead the Wolves to a win.
Brandy Huff was 2-for-4 with an RBI for Basic.
Tech 4, Faith Lutheran 1 — At Needles, Calif., Amanda Roark tossed a four-inning four-hitter with eight strikeouts, and Tech used a four-run third to top the Crusaders in the Colorado River Invitational.
Mikaela Tribett went 2-for-2 with two RBIs for the Roadrunners.
Tech 4, Coachella Valley (Calif.) 0 — At Needles, Calif., Jordyn Roark was 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI to help the Roadrunners win a three-inning game over Coachella Valley.
Jamison Bascom was 2-for-2 for Tech.
Amanda Roark allowed just two hits and struck out five.
Tech 14, Sunrise Mountain 5 — At Needles, Calif., Kimmie Rodriguez was 2-for-2 with a double, three runs and four RBIs as the Roadrunners topped the Miners in four innings.
Winning pitcher Amanda Roark went 2-for-3 with three RBIs, and Nancy Licea was 3-for-3 for Tech, which also got a double and three runs from Jordyn Roark.
Alex Valles and Mara Santana each went 2-for-2 for Sunrise Mountain.
Cimarron-Memorial 7, Faith Lutheran 3 — At Needles, Calif., Sarina Creswell went 3-for-3 with a triple and an RBI to lead the Spartans past the Crusaders in the Colorado River Invitational.
Carli Stafford went 2-for-3 with two RBIs to help Cimarron, which jumped ahead with three runs in the second inning.
Kelly Zufall went 2-for-3 to lead Faith Lutheran.
Cimarron-Memorial 15, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Needles, Calif., Creswell belted a grand slam in a nine-run second inning as the Spartans downed the Miners in a three-inning game in the Colorado River Invitational.
Stafford added two doubles and two runs, and Katy Rusk had two singles and three RBIs for Cimarron.
Paige Ostlie retired all nine Miners hitters.
Faith Lutheran 6, Chino Valley (Ariz.) 0 — At Needles, Calif., Stacie Graham tossed a five-inning two-hitter with six strikeouts to lead the Crusaders to a victory over the Cougars in the Colorado River Invitational.
Vanessa Valdez went 4-for-4 with two RBIs for Faith Lutheran, and teammate Nicole Thompson went 2-for-3.
Apple Valley (Calif.) 1, Legacy 0 — At Needles, Calif., Apple Valley scored the game’s lone run on a squeeze bunt in the top of the fifth to earn the five-inning win at the Colorado River Invitational.
Legacy’s Sierra Pico took a no-hitter into the fifth before yielding a bunt single. Pico struck out 10.
The Longhorns got a double off the fence from Alysia Santos in the bottom of the fifth, but couldn’t drive the run home.
Legacy 10, Del Sol 4 — At Needles, Calif., Alicia Santos went 2-for-3 with a double, two runs and two RBIs as the Longhorns erased a 4-0 deficit to down the Dragons in the Colorado River Invitational.
Sierra Pico tossed three spotless innings of relief, striking out seven of the nine hitters she faced, to earn the win.
Coronado 7, Kofa (Ariz.) 3 — At Bullhead City, Ariz., winning pitcher Danielle Amato smacked two home runs, including a go-ahead three-run shot in the sixth to lead the Cougars by Kofa in the Tournament of Champions.
Amato tossed a five-hitter and went 2-for-3 with four RBIs. Her sixth-inning homer gave Coronado a 5-3 lead.
Lee Harrison followed Amato’s second homer with a solo shot to increase the lead to 6-3. Alyssa Ayers was 3-for-5 with two RBIs for the Cougars.
Sandra Day O’Connor (Ariz.) 6, Coronado 1 — At Bullhead City, Ariz., Katie Cochran’s solo home run in the sixth inning wasn’t enough as the Cougars fell to O’Connor in the Tournament of Champions.
Harrison took a no-hitter into the fifth before O’Connor pounded out 11 singles in the fifth and sixth innings.
Katie Dawson and Kiley Harrison each went 2-for-3 for the Cougars.
Farmington (N.M.) 5, Coronado 3 — At Bullhead City, Ariz., Farmington scored four runs in the first inning and held on for the win in the Tournament of Champions.
Amato went 2-for-3 with an RBI for Coroando.
Bishop Amat (Calif.) 6, Centennial 0 — At Bullhead City, Ariz., Bishop Amat broke a scoreless tie with two runs in the fourth inning and topped the Bulldogs in the Tournament of Champions.
Mia Acuna was 1-for-2 with a walk for Centennial, which was held to five singles.
Foothill 3, Mohave (Ariz.) 0 — At Bullhead City, Ariz., Alex Petrolia tossed a one-hitter with 11 strikeouts to help the Falcons down the Thunderbirds in the Tournament of Champions.
Lauren Penksa went 3-for-4 with two doubles for Foothill, and Aricia Dami was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.
Foothill 5, Desert Oasis 0 — At Bullhead City, Ariz., Chelsea Stewart went 3-for-4 witih three RBIs to lead the Falcons in a shutout of the Diamondbacks in the Tournament of Champions.
Penksa notched two doubles for Foothill, which got a two-hitter from Petrolia and relief pitcher Jordyn Derflinger.
Cienega (Ariz.) 11, Foothill 3 — At Bullhead City, Ariz., Shelby Kennedy and Stephanie Tatham each finished 3-for-4 to help the Bobcats roll past the Falcons.
Stewart was 2-for-3 for Foothill, which gave up 20 hits to Cienega.
Arbor View 20, Virgin Valley 0 — At Mesquite, Ashlyn Ames tossed a four-inning one-hitter, striking out 11, to lead the Aggies past the Bulldogs in the Sherm Bennett Memorial Classic.
Ames also led Arbor View’s 24-hit offensive attack, going 3-for-4 with a home run, a double and three RBIs. Teammates Dacia Sykes and Karli Lehr each went 3-for-3.
Madison Barnard had Virgin Valley’s only hit, a fourth-inning single.
Arbor View 5, Enterprise (Utah) 0 — At Mesquite, Chelsa Baca tossed a one-hit shuout, striking out nine, to lead the Aggies past the Wolves in the Sherm Bennett Memorial Classic.
Sykes hit a two-run homer in the seventh inning for the Aggies.
Kayla Stephens was 2-for-3 with a double for Arbor View.
Cheyenne 9, Valley 6 — At Mesquite, Vanessa Sanders hit a two-run homer to cap a four-run sixth inning as the Desert Shields topped the Vikings in the Sherm Bennett Memorial Classic.
Sanders finished 2-for-4 with the homer, a double and two RBIs for Cheyenne.
Moapa Valley 11, Cheyenne 2 — At Mesquite, Chanel LaCroix tossed a five-inning no-hitter to lead the Pirates past the Desert Shields in the Sherm Bennett Memorial Classic.
LaCroix walked 12, but worked out of trouble.
Hanna Leavitt belted a three-run homer in the Pirates’ nine-run fifth inning.
Indian Springs 11, Lincoln County JV 1 — At Alamo, Brandi Bryl was 3-for-4 with a double and four RBis and also earned the victory as the Thunderbirds earned the win in the Pahranagat Valley Invitational.
Bailee McCormick was 4-for-4 with two RBIs for Indian Springs.
Indian Springs 18, White Pine JV 2 — At Alamo, Bryl was 3-for-3 with a double and three RBIs, and also threw a one-hitter in the four-inning win.
McCormick went 2-for-2 with a triple and two RBIs, Courtney Adin was 2-for-3 with three RBIs, and Veronica Allen went 3-for-3 with a triple for Indian Springs.
