ROUNDUP: Swartz’s walk-off homer powers Mountain View over Lake Mead

Cristin Swartz’s walk-off three-run home run capped a five-run bottom of the seventh inning Tuesday as host Mountain View’s softball team rallied past Lake Mead, 16-15.

Swartz finished 2-for-4 with six RBI’s for the Saints.

Taylor Vetter had a triple for the Eagles, who led 13-6 after three innings and 15-8 going into the bottom of the sixth.

Cimarron-Memorial 7, Legacy 2 — At Legacy, Alexa Snyder tossed a five-hitter with 12 strikeouts and one walk to power the Spartans past the Longhorns.

Sarah Murphy went 2-for-3 with a triple and four runs, and Kayla Simmers was 3-for-3 with a double, a run, and an RBI for Cimarron.

Kiani Elia-Mendiola supplied a triple, a single, and a run for Legacy.

Moapa Valley 4, Sunrise Mountain 2 — At Sunrise Mountain, Hanna Leavitt went 2-for-4 with an RBI as the Pirates held off the Miners.

Makendie Frei tossed a four-hitter for Moapa Valley.

Natalie Sharp had two hits for Sunrise Mountain.

Centennial 11, Bonanza 1 — At Centennial, Savannah Horvath was 2-for-4 with a triple, a homer and four RBIs to help the Bulldogs to a six-inning win over the Bengals.

Madison Henzlik was 2-for-4 with two RBIs, and Bailie Nelson went 2-for-3 with a double, a triple and an RBI for Centennial.

Kate Rasukin went the distance to the get the win, allowing one earned run on four hits with six strikeouts.

Foothill 17, Del Sol 3 — At Foothill, McKenna King was 3-for-3 with two doubles and five RBIs to help the Falcons to the five-inning win over the Dragons.

King also pitched a two-hitter to get the win for Foothill, which scored eight runs in the bottom of the third to break a 3-3 tie.

Coronado 25, Basic 0 — At Basic, Danielle Amato went 4-for-5 with two home runs, a double and five RBIs and tossed a five-inning three-hitter with nine strikeouts as the Cougars routed the Wolves.

Jaiden Johnson’s grand slam highlighted an 11-run fourth inning for Coronado, which also got homers from Nicole Hardy and Brooke Younie. Haley Harrison was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs for the Cougars.

Leah Causey was 2-for-2 for Basic.

Liberty 15, Eldorado 5 — At Liberty, Hannah Freer tossed 4 1/3 innings of one-hit relief as the Patriots spotted the Sundevils a 5-0 lead in the first inning, then rallied to win in five innings.

Tiana Tapuala was 3-for-4 with two triples, and Jenn Story went 3-for-4 with a triple and a double for Liberty. Rebecca Freer was 3-for-4 for the Patriots.

Boulder City 15, Tech 0 — At Tech, the Eagles took advantage of 13 walks and three batters hit by pitches as they beat up on the Roadrunners in five innings.

Charlene Masterson had seven strikeouts for Boulder City, which scored nine runs in the third inning.

Chaparral 15, Virgin Valley 1 —
At Chaparral, Nicole Lesniak tossed a five-inning three-hitter and went 2-for-2 with a home run and a double as the Cowboys blitzed the Bulldogs.

Lauren Lesniak was 2-for-2 with a double, and Erika Barber doubled twice for Chaparral.

Mojave 17, Desert Pines 6 — At Mojave, Terren Vinson went 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs to lead the Rattlers to the five-inning win over the Jaguars.

Jazmine Almendarez was 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs for Mojave, which scored eight runs in the bottom of the first.

Crystal Melendez doubled twice for Desert Pines.

Indian Springs 5-3, Pahranagat Valley 3-2 — At Alamo, Heather Thormahlen tossed a pair of four-hitters to give the Thunderbirds a sweep over the Panthers.

Hannah Thormahlen scored two runs in the first game, and supplied two doubles and a run in the nightcap for Indian Springs.

Randi Jones had an RBI single in both games to lead Pahranagat Valley.

Calvary Chapel 15-14, Tonopah 29-4 — At Calvary Chapel, Alisa Barry tossed a eight-hitter in the nightcap as the Lions earned a split with the Muckers in a pair of five-inning games.

Maddison Petrelli went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run, and Dani Camacho went 3-for-5 with a double for Calvary Chapel in the second game.

In the opener, Bria Galli went 5-for-5, and Julia Klapper and Megan Donham both homered to pace Tonopah, which took control with a 13-run first inning.
