ROUNDUP: Velarde leads six-run sixth as Mustangs upset Spartans

Casey Velarde’s two-run single highlighted a six-run sixth inning Monday as Shadow Ridge’s softball team rallied from a 3-1 third-inning deficit to stun visiting Cimarron-Memorial, 8-4.
Velarde finished 2-for-3 and her two-run single tied the game, 4-4.
Winning pitcher Jasmine Bouie added an RBI double later in the sixth.
Cimarron’s Caroline Banuelos was 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI, and Kayla Johnson went 3-for-4 with a double for the Spartans.
Centennial 12, Legacy 2 — At Centennial, Kylie Bartlett and winning pitcher Taylor Huntly each smacked a two-run home run as the Bulldogs overcame an early 2-0 deficit to rout the Longhorns in five innings.
Huntly tossed a three-hitter and struck out four, and also went 2-for-3 at the plate.
Heather Bowen was 3-for-3, and Bartlett went 2-for-2 for Centennial. Bailie Nelson went 2-for-3 with a double for the Bulldogs.
Palo Verde 8, Faith Lutheran 0 — At Faith Lutheran, Melissa McCormick tossed a three-hitter and struck out nine to help the Panthers blank the Crusaders.
Melissa Lacro went 2-for-3 with two RBIs for Palo Verde.
Kelly Zufall was 2-for-3 with a double for Faith Lutheran.
Cheyenne 23, Mojave 2 — At Cheyenne, Melanie Manley threw a five-inning two-hitter in her first career start as the Desert Shields routed the Rattlers.
Vanessa Sanders went 4-for-5 with four RBIs and three runs scored, and teammate Lindsey Galindo was 3-for-5 with three runs scored and an RBI for Cheyenne.
Desert Oasis 13, Western 0 — At Desert Oasis, C.J. Wilson spun a five-inning no-hitter and struck out eight as the Diamondbacks cruised past the Warriors.
Briona Santovito went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, a run scored and two stolen bases for Desert Oasis.
Natasha Chapman was 2-for-4 with three runs scored for the Diamondbacks.
Clark 10, Spring Valley 8 — At Clark, Sydney Staresinich went 3-for-3 with a run to help the Chargers hold off the Grizzlies.
Julia Hagen was 2-for-3 with an RBI for Clark.
Georgi DeLio was 3-for-4 with two RBIs, and teammate Nicole Matyskiel was 2-for-2 with a triple and an RBI for Spring Valley, which rallied for six runs in the final three innings.
Durango 18, Sierra Vista 2 — At Durango, Nicole Schultz was 4-for-4 with a double and three RBIs to help the Trailblazers to the five-inning win.
Kendal Short went 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI, and Lauren Benfield was 2-for-2 with three RBIs for Durango.
Green Valley 7, Valley 5 — At Valley, Shelby Vickers was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs as the Gators edged the Vikings.
Mickayla Romero went 4-for-4 with a double, and Zoe Galindo was 3-for-4 with two doubles for Valley.
North Valleys 13, Del Sol 0 — At Del Sol, the Panthers held the Dragons to just two hits en route to a five-inning win.
