SOFTBALL: Ariel Wilson powers Mojave past Legacy

Ariel Wilson went 2-for-3 with a triple and allowed three runs over five innings to lift Mojave’s softball team to a 6-4 home victory over Legacy.

Natalie Paredes also went 2-for-3 with a triple for the Rattlers, who scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Amber Radde tripled, and Kiani Tung doubled for the Longhorns.

Cheyenne 9, Western 7 — At Western, Madelyn Kennedy struck out 10 to lead the Desert Shields past the Warriors.

Kennedy and Victoria Rosales each went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the offense.

Jocelyn Rodriguez went 1-for-1 with two RBIs to lead the Warriors. Jenessa Dunton went 2-for-4 for Western.

Makilita Moeaki fanned nine over seven innings in a losing effort.

Desert Pines 12, Sunrise Mountain 8 — At Sunrise Mountain, Carolina Rodriguez-Mejia drove in four runs, and Pamela Cruz had two hits and three RBIs as the Jaguars beat the Miners.

Laisha Sanchez and Yomara Reynoso each had three hits for Desert Pines.

Desert Oasis 15, Bishop Gorman 2 — At Desert Oasis, Holly Severence was 3-for-3 with a two-run home run to help the Diamondbacks to a five-inning win over the Gaels.

Severence also allowed two runs in four innings to get the win.

Hailey Jaramillo and Makayla Rickard each had a double for Desert Oasis.

Reyna Martin tripled for Gorman.

Silverado 23, Cimarron-Memorial 12 — At Cimarron, Dalyse Whiteside was 3-for-5 with a double, a home run, five runs and four RBIs as the Skyhawks routed the Spartans.

Mary Dungey had a double and a homer, and Megan Johnson added three hits for Silverado, which led 11-0 after two innings.

Mya’Leah Bathea went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs for Cimarron, and teammate Kaeley Roldan doubled twice with three runs and two RBIs.

Durango 20, Clark 0 — At Clark, Alexis Geraldo went 3-for-3 with a double, a home run, three runs and five RBIs as the Trailblazers routed the Chargers in three innings.

Trinity Valentine was 3-for-4 with two doubles, five RBIs and two runs, and Isabel Perez went 3-for-3 with two runs and three RBIs for Durango.

Avahly Geraldo went 2-for-2 with a double and scored twice for the Trailblazers.

Madison Boyce pitched a one-hitter with two strikeouts and a walk to get the win.

Katlynn Avila was 1-for-1 for Clark.
