SOFTBALL: Brown leads Boulder City to victory

Mikaela Brown tossed an eight-hitter and went 3-for-4 with a home run on Wednesday to help Boulder City’s softball team to an 11-2 win at Las Vegas.
Cierra Turner homered for the Wildcats, who trailed 6-0 after two innings.
Eldorado 5, Mojave 2 — At Eldorado, Kristie Thomas tossed a seven-hitter with six strikeouts to lead the Sundevils over the Rattlers.
Valerie Ramirez had two hits and an RBI, and Brook Ortiz supplied a single and a triple for Eldorado, whcich used a four-run fourth inning to pull away.
Danette Daguiar was 2-for-3 with two RBIs to lead Mojave.
Pahrump Valley 8, Legacy 4 — At Legacy, Amanda Pryor went 3-for-4 with a double, a triple and three RBIs, and Kristal Kaiwi supplied three hits and an RBI to power the Trojans past the Longhorns.
Lindsey Fishman went 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs for Legacy.
Palo Verde 10, Desert Oasis 0 — At Palo Verde, Lauren Oxford was 2-for-3 with an RBI double to help the Panthers to a five-inning win over the Diamondbacks.
Rachael Turner added two hits for Palo Verde, which used an eight-run fourth inning to pull away.
Haylee Lupinetti, Rachel Williams and Melissa Lacro combined on a two-hitter for the Panthers.
Cimarron-Memorial 6, Silverado 2 — At Cimarron, Rosie Del Rosario belted a home run, and Rebecca Johnson had two doubles to help the Spartans beat the Skyhawks. Sarah Murphy was 2-for-4 for Cimarron.
Arieana Monturio was 2-for-2, and Madison Sisco went 2-for-3 for Silverado, which also got two hits from Korina Pindel.
Spring Valley 5, Foothill 3 — At Foothill, winning pitcher Michaela Hood had a two-run home run, and Raven Bierlein added a homer to help the Grizzlies top the Falcons.
Alexia Campbell had a two-run home run for Foothill.
Faith Lutheran 18, Bonanza 1 — At Bonanza, Cheyenne Kidd went 3-for-5 with two doubles, three runs and five RBIs to help the Crusaders rout the Bengals in five innings.
Samantha Jack was 3-for-4 with five RBIs, and Bri Yee went 2-for-5 with a home run for Faith Lutheran.
Sarah Selbach-Fetting went 2-for-3 for Bonanza.
Cheyenne 20, Canyon Springs 3 — At Canyon Springs, Brittny Phillips belted a three-run homer to key a 15-run second inning, and the Desert Shields went on to rout the Pioneers in five innings.
Taylor Cole and Brittany Leeds each supplied two hits for Cheyenne.
