SOFTBALL: Dinkel tosses three-hitter as Liberty tops Las Vegas

Karly Dinkel tossed a five-inning three-hitter on Monday to help Liberty’s softball team to a 12-0 win over visiting Las Vegas.
Dinkel struck out eight and walked one.
Marisa Olmos had two hits for the Patriots.
Sabrina Saldate was 2-for-2 for the Wildcats
Coronado 16, Shadow Ridge 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Danielle Amato tossed a five-inning four-hitter and went 3-for-3 with a double as the Cougars routed the Mustangs.
Jillian James was 2-for-3 with two doubles for Coronado.
Taylor Velarde went 2-for-2 with a triple for Shadow Ridge.
Legacy 19, Western 0 — At Legacy, Gabby Rinker was 3-for-4 with a triple and seven RBIs, and the Longhorns used a 12-run second inning in a five-inning rout of the Warriors.
Melissa Martinez was 4-for-4 with a double and an RBI, and winning pitcher Kiani Elia-Mendiola went 3-for-3 with a double and four runs.
Tech 9, Valley 6 — At Valley, Kimmie Rodriguez was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, and the Roadrunners took advantage of 10 errors to top the Vikings.
Valley’s Kristina Manthei went 2-for-3 with a double and struck out 15 Tech hitters.
Cheyenne 12, Chaparral 2 — At Chaparral, Brittany Leeds and Alyssa Fata combined on a four-hitter with 11 strikeouts as the Desert Shields topped the Cowboys in five innings.
Taylor Cole was 2-for-2 with a double, and teammate Italy Mora was 2-for-3 with a double for Cheyenne.
Nayeli Rivas went 1-for-2 with a double for Chaparral.
Durango 23, Bonanza 11 — At Durango, Tori Ray went 3-for-4 with a double and four RBIs, and the Trailblazers rallied from a 7-4 deficit in the second inning to rout the Bengals in five innings.
Kaitlyn O’Hearn was 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs, and Dallas Boyce went 2-for-5 with a double and three RBIs for Durango.
Brianna Hernandez was 2-for-3 with a double and four RBIs for Bonanza.
