SOFTBALL: Endsley’s two-run homer helps Grizzlies upset Panthers

Ellie Endsley hit a two-run home run Thursday to help visiting Spring Valley’s softball team upset No. 2 Palo Verde, 5-2.

Martinece Robertson was 2-for-3 for the Grizzlies, who scored three runs in the top of the first inning.

Kiley Harrison was 4-for-4 with a double, and Rachael Turner was 2-for-3 with a double for the Panthers.

Green Valley 10, Valley 3 — At Valley, Samantha Loving was 3-for-4 with two doubles, five RBIs and two runs to lead the Gators past the Vikings.

Autumn Owens was 2-for-3 with a two-run homer, and Jinger Meuir went 2-for-2 with three runs for Green Valley, which scored six runs in the sixth to pull away.

Valley’s Shannon Williams went 2-for-3 with a run, and teammate Paige Tarr scored twice.

Rancho 6, Silverado 1 — At Rancho, Samantha Pochop tossed a three-hitter and struck out 16 to lead the Rams by the Skyhawks.

McKinzi Vega was 3-for-4 with two RBIs, and Jacey Kelley was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs for Rancho.

Tiare Lee and Tori Hafen each went 2-for-3, and Brandy Marlett and Megan Sloan each went 2-for-4 for the Rams.

Shadow Ridge 8, Durango 4 — At Shadow Ridge, Tana Feiner threw a four-hitter and struck out six to help the Mustangs top the Trailblazers.

Kate Dennis was 2-for-3 with a triple, and Joryan Brewer was 2-for-3 for Shadow Ridge, which rallied from a 4-0 deficit after three innings.

Virgin Valley 11, Sunrise Mountain 9 — At Sunrise Mountain, Janella Fiso, Becca Bramlage and Kaycee Anderson all went 2-for-4, and the Bulldogs took advantage of 15 errors to edge the Miners.

Natalie Sharp went 5-for-5 with two home runs, including a grand slam, for Sunrise Mountain. Andrea Garner was 2-for-4, and Brianna Twyman went 1-for-3 with an RBI for the Miners.

Moapa Valley 13, Chaparral 8 — At Chaparral, Liz Robertson went 3-for-4 to help the Pirates top the Cowboys.

Bailey Owens was 2-for-3 and scored two runs for Moapa Valley.

Yadirea Ontiveros went 2-for-4 with a double for the Cowboys.

Las Vegas 13, Canyon Springs 3 — At Canyon Springs, winning pitcher Sabrina Saldate went 3-for-3 with a double as the Wildcats topped the Pioneers in five innings.

Emilee Kaye was 1-for-2 with a two-run double for Canyon Springs.

Foothill 14, Boulder City 5 — At Boulder City, Daryan Meade went 3-for-5 with two doubles and two RBIs to help the Falcons top the Eagles.

Kelsey McFarland was 4-for-5 with four RBIs for Foothill, and teammate Sarah Maddox went 4-for-5 with two RBIs.

Nicole Schulz was 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs, and Katlyn Jackson added two RBIs for Boulder City.

Arbor View 20, Sierra Vista 1 — At Sierra Vista, Dacia Sykes had five hits and two RBIs, and Kellie Anderson added five hits as the Aggies routed the Mountain Lions in five innings.

Winning pitcher Ashlyn Ames and Sarah Bradford added four hits apiece for Arbor View, which got three hits and five RBIs from Brittany Henricksen.

Kalei Watkins had two hits and Kira Felise supplied an RBI single for Sierra Vista.

Laughlin 14-13, Mountain View 20-12 — At Mountain View, Emilee Shilts went 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI in the nightcap to help the Cougars gain a split of a doubleheader against the Saints.

Winning pitcher Cassie Beggs was 2-for-4 with a triple and an RBI in the second game for Laughlin.

Mountain View’s Savannah Alley was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs.

In the opener, Sydney Saultz was 1-for-3 with three RBIs to lift the Saints.

Laughlin’s Diana Durazo was 2-for-4 with a double.
