SOFTBALL: Henricksen triplets help Aggies top Diamondbacks

Bryce Henricksen’s double with two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning Wednesday lifted host Arbor View’s softball team to a 6-5 win over Desert Oasis.
Brittany Henricksen singled with one out in the eighth and moved to second on a passed ball. One out later, Kayla Stephens was intentionally walked to put runners at first and second for Bryce Henricksen, who finished the game 2-for-5.
Breanne Henricksen was 3-for-5 with two doubles and an RBI, and Kellie Anderson was 2-for-4 for the Aggies.
Meagan Anders was 4-for-5, and Maggie Shepard went 3-for-4 for the Diamondbacks, who scored three runs in the sixth to tie the game. Mary Dungey and Shonda Badayos each went 2-for-4 with a double for Desert Oasis.
Centennial 11, Bonanza 0 — At Bonanza, Maddie Jones and Makenzie Ball each had two hits and two RBIs as the Bulldogs beat the Bengals in five innings.
Kira Simpson had a double, a single and an RBI, and Hannah Jones added a double and a single for Centennial, which scored eight runs in the second.
Hannah Jones got the win, allowing one hit and striking out seven in four innings. Lina Barrera struck out the side in the seventh to complete the one-hitter.
Palo Verde 13, Bishop Gorman 3 — At Palo Verde, Dejanae Gage went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs, and Grace Chavez was 2-for-4 with a home run as the Panthers downed the Gaels in six innings.
Lauren Oxford went 3-for-4, and Makall Whetten was 2-for-3 for Palo Verde.
Jasmine Gibson was 3-for-3 with a home run and a double, and Sierra Dias was 2-for-3 with a double for Gorman.
Foothill 10, Basic 0 — At Foothill, Hannah Stevens went 3-for-4 with a double, and the Falcons scored seven runs in the fourth en route to the six-inning win over the Wolves.
Alexa Campbell was 2-for-4 with a triple and a home run, and Jasmine Dukes doubled twice for Foothill.
Kayla King went the distance to get the win.
Green Valley 13, Eldorado 6 — At Eldorado, Italia Reinoehl was 2-for-3 with a home run, a double, three runs and three RBIs as the Gators topped the Sundevils.
Tara Hilton was 2-for-5 with a double and three RBIs, and Allie Lamb went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI for Green Valley, which got a solo home run from Amber Calderon.
Kristie Thomas was 2-for-4 with two doubles, two runs and an RBI, and Heather Holman was 2-for-4 with an RBI for Eldorado.
Cheyenne 21, Western 2 — At Cheyenne, Destiny Gain went 3-for-3 with a grand slam and four RBIs, and winning pitcher Kaitlyn Dutton was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs as the Desert Shields routed the Warriors in five innings.
Brittny Phillips had two doubles and two RBIs, and Sabrina Stafford added a double for Cheyenne.
Mikeya Villela had a double for Western.
Faith Lutheran 5, Spring Valley 0 — At Spring Valley, Mosie Foley pitched a five-hit shutout with four strikeouts, and Samantha Jack had a run-scoring triple to lead the Crusaders past the Grizzlies.
Claire Peck doubled, and Ryleigh Gilchrist and Erin Gilchrist each had a run-scoring single for Faith Lutheran.
Sierra Vista 5, Pahrump Valley 0 — At Sierra Vista, Kalei Watkins fired a complete-game four-hitter with 12 strikeouts and no walks as the Mountain Lions downed the Trojans.
Madison Hiu went 3-for-3 for Sierra Vista, and teammates Adrianna Somerville, Harmony Dominguez and Sierra Martinez each added two hits.
Aryana Cuellar had two hits, and Amaya Mendoza doubled to pace Pahrump Valley.
Mojave 17, Clark 5 — At Mojave, Katheline Rivas went 3-for-3 with a triple and two runs, and Ariel Wilson was 2-for-2 with a triple and two runs as the Rattlers pummeled the Chargers in five innings.
Jesika Smith supplied a base hit and scored a run for Mojave, which put up 10 runs in the second inning.
Stephanie Warren and Nathalie Hernandez each went 2-for-3 for Clark.
Boulder City 12, Tech 2 — At Boulder City, Charlene Masterson tossed a six-inning four-hitter with eight strikeouts and went 2-for-4 with a triple to help the Eagles top the Roadrunners.
Jerra Hinson was 3-for-4 with a triple, and Kylee Hamel went 2-for-4 for Boulder City.
