SOFTBALL: Hilton, Gators top Falcons

Tara Hilton was 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBIs to help Green Valley’s softball team to an 11-5 home win over Foothill on Monday.

Alexa Blazek went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs, and teammate Italia Reinoehl was 2-for-4 with a double and two runs for the Gators, who scored five runs in the sixth to pull away.

Amber Calderon went 2-for-3 with two RBIs for Green Valley.

Hannah Stevens was 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs for Foothill. Kaitlyn Enzweiler was 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Falcons.

Spring Valley 6, Pahrump Valley 0 — At Pahrump, Michaela Hood threw a six-hitter and went 4-for-4 with two doubles to lead the Grizzlies over the Trojans.

Hood struck out 12 with two walks. Marlena Adras and Ellie Endsley each added two hits for Spring Valley, which scored all six runs in the sixth inning.

Jordan Egan had two hits for Pahrump.

Rancho 7, Basic 1 — At Basic, Samantha Pochop threw a two-hitter with 11 strikeouts as the Rams beat the Wolves.

Sammi Llamas was 3-for-4 with a double for Rancho, and teammates Gianna Carosone and McKinzi Vega each went 2-for-4 with a double.

Rebecca Pullen was 1-for-3 with a double for Basic, which scored on a passed ball in the seventh inning.

Coronado 13, Eldorado 0 — At Coronado, Sophia McCann was 2-for-3 with two doubles and four RBIs as the Cougars beat the Sundevils in five innings.

Dylan Underwood was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs, and teammate Tatum Spangler was 2-for-3 with an RBI for Coronado, which scored eight runs in the first.

Spangler and McCann combined on a three-hitter.

Centennial 10, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Centennial, Cheyenne Cudahy threw a three-hitter with six strikeouts as the Bulldogs rolled past the Spartans in five innings.

Kiana Tate was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, and Brianna Benoit was 1-for-2 with a double and two RBIs for Centennial.

Desert Oasis 16, Bonanza 4 — At Desert Oasis, Mary Dungey was 2-for-4 with two runs and four RBIs, and Gemma Perez went 2-for-2 with a run and three RBIs as the Diamondbacks downed the Bengals in five innings.

Shonda Badayos was 2-for-2 with a run and two RBIs, and Elsy Guzman went 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI for Desert Oasis.

Brianna Hernandez-Silva was 3-for-3 with two runs for Bonanza.

Mojave 17, Western 5 — At Mojave, Luisa Najera went 3-for-4 with a double and four RBIs to help power the Rattlers to the five-inning win over the Warriors.

Emilee Mitton was 4-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs, and teammate Anastasia Evans went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs for Mojave.

Lita Maeoki went 3-for-3 for Western.

Cheyenne 13, Clark 3 — At Clark, Sabrina Stafford was 4-for-6 with three runs and an RBI to lead the Desert Shields by the Chargers.

Indian Springs 23, Lake Mead 13 — At Indian Springs, Caroline Stark was 2-for-2 with a triple and two RBIs to help the Thunderbirds to the five-inning win over the Eagles.

Hannah Thormahlen hit a grand slam for Indian Springs while also earning the victory in the circle.

Josey White hit a double and a grand slam for Lake Mead.
