SOFTBALL: McFarland, Falcons top Coronado

Kelsey McFarland was 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs Monday to help Foothill’s softball team to an 11-5 win at Coronado.
Sarah Maddox was 2-for-4 with a home run, a double and three RBIs, and Alexia Campbell went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI for the Falcons, who trailed 4-0 after one inning.
Jaiden Johnson was 4-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI for the Cougars.
Legacy 14, Desert Oasis 11 — At Desert Oasis, Alyssa Sotelo’s RBI single plated Kiani Elia-Mendiola to break an 11-11 tie in the top of the seventh inning and lift the Longhorns by the Diamondbacks.
Gabby Rinker went 3-for-3 with two doubles, and Elia-Mendiola was 3-for-4 for the Longhorns.
Sammantha Caruso was 3-for-4, and teammate Shonda Badayos went 2-for-4 with a triple and a double for Desert Oasis. Karly Severance was 2-for-4 with a double, and Erin McInerney was 2-for-4 for the Diamondbacks.
Pahrump Valley 12, Mojave 3 — At Mojave, Amanda Pryor went 3-for-5 with a double and a two-run homer to lead the Trojans past the Rattlers.
Whitney Roderick went 2-for-5 with a double and tossed a six-hitter with 11 strikeouts for Pahrump, which got three RBIs from Kristal Kaiwi.
Terren Vinson went 4-for-4 with a double for the Rattlers. Ashley Persico was 2-for-4 with a double, and Luisa Najero went 2-for-4 with a home run for Mojave.
Liberty 13, Basic 2 — At Basic, Hayley Freestone was 2-for-2 with two doubles and two runs, and the Patriots scored seven runs in the first inning on their way to a five-inning win over the Wolves.
Breanna Alvarez, Ashleigh Rodriguez, Marisa Olmos and McKenna Hefley each added two hits for Liberty.
Basic’s Jodi Williams was 2-for-3 with a double and a run, and teammate Rachel Snyder was 2-for-3.
Cheyenne 17, Western 3 — At Cheyenne, Courtney Gain was 2-for-3 with a triple and four RBIs, and the Desert Shields used a 13-run second inning to rout the Warriors in five innings.
Sabrina Stafford was 4-for-5 with three RBIs, and Destiny Gain went 2-for-4 with two runs for Cheyenne.
Brenda Sandoval went 2-for-3 with a double for Western.
Cimarron-Memorial 13, Bonanza 0 — At Bonanza, the Spartans took advantage of eight errors in a five-inning rout of the Bengals.
Alexa Snyder and Michelle Knott combined on a one-hitter for the Spartans.
Sarah Murphy had three RBIs for Cimarron.
Eldorado 14, Del Sol 0 — At Del Sol, Kerrigan Holman tossed a one-hitter and struck out four as the Sundevils blanked the Dragons in five innings.
Brook Ortiz had two hits, including a triple, and Holman and Valerie Ramirez each added two hits for Eldorado.
Faith Lutheran 15, Clark 2 — At Faith Lutheran, Claire Peck went 3-for-3 with a triple and a RBI as the Crusaders routed the Chargers in five innings.
Samantha Jack was 2-for-3 with a triple, a double and an RBI for Faith Lutheran.
Sara King had a two-run single with two outs in the top of the fifth inning for Clark.
