SOFTBALL: Mikayla Berg, Basic top Wilsonville

Mikayla Berg went 2-for-2 with a double and four RBIs on Saturday to lead the Basic softball team to a 14-2, five-inning win over Wilsonville (Ore.) at the Russel Road Recreation Complex.
Alyssa Ferguson went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs for the Wolves, who scored 10 runs in the bottom of the first.
Izabelle Morales spun a three-hitter to get the win.
Aliso Niguel (Calif.) 14, Bishop Gorman 2 — At Anaheim, California, the Wolverines scored five runs in the first inning on the way to a five-inning win over the Gaels in the Savanna Invitational.
Hannah Gondini went 2-for-2 for Gorman.
Liberty 18, Wilsonville (Ore.) 3 — At Russell Road Recreation Complex, Jessica Meza was 3-for-3 with a double and a home run as the Patriots routed the Wildcats in four innings..
Morgan LaNeve was 2-for-3 with a home run for the Patriots.
Bishop Gorman 7, La Quinta (Calif.) 6 — At Anaheim, California, the Gaels rallied for a run in the top of the seventh to edge the Blackhawks in the Savanna Tournament.
Gorman’s Gia Pergolini went 2-for-3 with a triple and a run scored, and Hannah Gondini went 3-for-4 for the Gaels. Mallory Greenwood pitched a complete game to earn the win.
