SOFTBALL: Milanovich lifts Mustangs by Diamondbacks

Samantha Milanovich went 3-for-4 with a double Tuesday to lead Shadow Ridge’s softball team to a 7-3 win over visiting Desert Oasis.
Justin Garganese had three hits and an RBI, and Alisha Schultz supplied two hits and an RBI for the Mustangs. Winning pitcher Mia Voges went the distance, striking out nine for Shadow Ridge.
Izriah Hodson had a run-scoring triple for Desert Oasis.
Faith Lutheran 5, Cimarron-Memorial 2 — At Faith Lutheran, Makena Martin was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and pitched a four-hitter with eight strikeouts as the Crusaders turned back the Spartans.
Claire Peck added a two-run homer in the fourth inning to give Faith Lutheran the lead for good.
Rebecca Johnson was 2-for-3 with a triple for Cimarron.
Coronado 9, Sierra Vista 1 — At Coronado, Dylan Underwood went 2-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs, and Basia Query was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs to help the Cougars down the Mountain Lions.
Tatum Spangler had two triples and drove in two runs, and winning pitcher Sarah Pinkston supplied a double and tossed a complete game with eight strikeouts
Kalei Watkins was 2-for-3 with an RBI for Sierra Vista.
Durango 15, Bonanza 3 — At Durango, Kaitlyn O’Hearn and Stephanie Huff each hit home runs as the Trailblazers routed the Bengals in four innings.
O’Hearn was 2-for-4 with two RBIs for Durango, which also got two hits from Mallory Lawson.
Winning pitcher Trinity Valentine struck out five in three innings for the Trailblazers.
Caitlyn Lloyd had an RBI single for Bonanza.
Arbor View 14, Legacy 1 — At Legacy, Sarah Bradford went 3-for-4 with three runs as the Aggies routed the Longhorns.
Kayla Stevens was 1-for-3 with four RBIs for Arbor View, which scored four runs in the top of the seventh.
Eliza Rodriguez went 2-for-3 for Legacy.
Tech 10, Clark 0 — At Rodeo Park, Ashlee Carratelli fired a one-hitter with nine strikeouts as the Roadrunners beat the Chargers in five innings.
Lisette Sanchez was 2-for-2 with two runs, and teammate Vanessa Villalobos went 2-for-3 with two runs for Tech, which scored six runs in the bottom of the fourth.
Tearra Camacho had the lone hit for Clark.
Cheyenne 22, Moapa Valley 11 — At Cheyenne, Destiny Gain went 3-for-4 with three doubles, five RBIs and two runs as the Desert Shields beat the Pirates.
Victoria Rosales was 3-for-4 with a double and four RBIs, and Taylor Cole went 2-for-2 with an RBI for Cheyenne.
Sabrina Stafford, Johnette Paddy and Italy Mora each hit a double for the Desert Shields.
Moapa Valley’s DaniElle Russo was 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs, and Makayla Jackson had three hits and two RBIs for the Pirates.
Mojave 18, Del Sol 8 — At Mojave, Itzel Lorea earned the win and provided two hits, three runs and three RBIs to power the Rattlers by the Dragons.
Abigail Childers was 2-for-5 with two runs and four RBIs for Mojave, which used seven runs in the third to pull away.
Alina Marruffo had two hits, and Jeanette Poulsen added an RBI double for Del Sol.
Western 22, Virgin Valley 7 — At Mesquite, Jennessa Dunton hit two home runs, including a grand slam, to lift the Warriors over the Bulldogs in five innings.
Lita Maeoki and Brenda Sandoval combined on a seven-hitter for Western, which took advantage of 11 errors by Virgin Valley.
Sandy Valley 26, Lake Mead 26 — At Heritage Park, the Sidewinders and Eagles played to a tie.
