SOFTBALL: Perez, Gators too much for Legacy

Chelsea Perez went 4-for-5 with a double, three runs and four RBIs on Saturday to lead Green Valley’s softball team to a 12-4 victory over visiting Legacy.
Cori Sutton was 3-for-5 with a double and three RBIs, and winning pitcher Sam Loving was 3-for-3 with an RBI for the Gators.
Bishop Gorman 11-5, Savanna (Calif.) 1-8 — At Gorman, Shelby Estocado went 2-for-2 with a home run, a double, three runs and two RBIs to lift the Gaels to a five-inning win over the Rebels in the opening game of a doubleheader.
Ashley Witucki, Sierra Mark and Sierra Dias each added two hits, including a double, for Gorman.
In the nightcap, the Rebels scored six runs in the top of the first inning and held on.
Carrie Keller went 3-for-4 with a double for the Gaels, and Gorman reliever Dayton Yingling struck out 13.
