The Tartars’ three hits all came in the fourth inning to load the bases with no outs. Yingling got a fielder’s choice to force a runner at home, and the Gaels picked off a runner at first before Yingling registered one of her four strikeouts in the game to end the threat.
Ashley Witucki doubled leading off the bottom of the first inning and scored Gorman’s first run, and Megan Coyle added a solo home run in the sixth inning for the Gaels.
