Boys Roundup: Adelson School swims past Cimarron

Tomer Blit and Benjamin Khavkin each won two individual events Tuesday at Pavilion to lead the Adelson School boys swimming team to a 119-76 win over Cimarron-Memorial.

Blit won the 50-yard freestyle in 29.69 seconds and the 100 breaststroke in 1:26.1. Khavkin touched first in the 100 butterfly in 1:04.5 and the 500 freestyle in 5:40.25.

Krish Madhura won the 100 backstroke in 1:15.64 and was second in the 200 individual medley for the Lions.

Cimarron’s Fernando Cardoza won the 200 freestyle in 2:27.62 and the 100 butterfly in 1:18.49.

Arbor View 200, Mojave 47 — At Pavilion, Everett Rojas won two individual events as Aggies rolled to a win over the Rattles.

Rojas won the 500 freestyle in 4:58.38 and the 100 butterfly in 56.46.

Arbor View’s Nathan Bugash won the 50 freestyle (25.63) and was second in the 100 breaststroke, and teammate Ethan Lewis won the 100 backstroke (1:04.97) and was second in the 200 individual medley.

Cheyenne 107, Bonanza 97 — At Pavilion, Luke Titman, Josh Floyd and Aidan Nartker each won two individual events to propel the Desert Shields by the Bengals.

Titman won the 100 breaststroke in 1:10.19 and the 50 freestyle in 23.86. Floyd won the 100 freestyle (55.03) and 100 backstroke (1:09.06). Nartker took the 500 freestyle (5:23.5) and 100 butterfly (58.71).

Bonanza’s David Een won the 200 individual medley in 3:23.01 and was second in the 100 breaststroke.

Centennial 207, Faith Lutheran 68 — At Pavilion, Bronson Benes won two individual events to lead the Bulldogs by the Crusaders.

Benes won the 100 breaststroke in 1:08.7 and the 200 freestyle in 1:53.68.

Centennial’s Kyle Paronto won the 500 freestyle in 5:40.49 and was second in the 200 freestyle. Also for the Bulldogs, Logan Horito won the 100 backstroke (1:01.49) and was second in the 200 individual medley, and teammate Tyler Peterson won the 200 individual medley (2:14.6) and was second in the 100 backstroke.

Faith Lutheran’s Ryan Little won the 100 butterfly (0:57.01) and was second in the 100 breaststroke.

Clark 206, Durango 57 — At Pavilion, Andy Wang won two individual events as the Chargers routed the Trailblazers.

Wang won the 200 individual medley in 2:03.52 and the 500 freestyle in 5:17.97.

Clark’s Benjamin Blomquist won the 100 freestyle in 52.02 and was second in the 200 individual medley. Also for the Chargers, Jimmy Diederichs won the 100 butterfly (59.38) and was second in the 500 freestyle, and teammate James O’Brien won the 100 breaststroke in 1:19.2 and was second in the 100 butterfly.

Durango’s Joel Israilov won the 200 freestyle (2:28.51) and was third in the 100 freestyle.
